The fax function on my Canon Pixma MP530 worked great when I subscribed to Bell. Then I switched to cogeco digital phone service and now can't send or receive faxes. Cogeco says they can only support use by fax machines using a method of transmission called "T30 Standard". They say my machine is a "Super Group 3" so mine won't work on digital phone. Can I change any of my fax machine settings so that it will work on my digital phone line?

They're telling you your hardward doesn't play nice with their hardware. A few suggestions:

If that doesn't work, see if your computer has a fax modem that itself can be updated and can support the hardware. Your multifunction printer has a scanner; you can scan in the things you want to fax, then fax from the computer if the computer can fax. This is starting to look like a Dr. Seuss book.
You can also try to learn more about what the problems are and look elsewhere. Your "digital" phone is actually voice over Internet, something VOIP. If you Google for VOIP FAX you'll find some information, like this:
