After I had the car kit professionally installed, I can no longer get AM on the Jump or normal radio. Appears that when the Jump antenna wires are plugged into the cradle the ground loop is not completed. If I unplug the antenna input & output wires and touch them together I get AM via the car receiver. Is my cradle defective?

Yes, you can buy an FM Direct adapter that will allow you to transmit directly to your car FM tuner, but if you have an older SkyFi2, the Fm transmitter is so strong, you can sit the radio on the floor and tune your car radio to your preset XM channel, like 107.1 FM and it will work great. Go into "Menu" and pick a channel that's not used locally.
Keypad being locked isn't the problem at all. you check in bluetooth settings in your SE C902, in paired devices and see if it allows always auto connect settings on already paired devices.. on the other hand, i wouldn't advise you to keep your SE C902 bluetooth on or in recoverable mode once you leave you car because of the many vulnerabilities in that these days e.g viruses or any other bugs. always turn it off once you leave and only turn it on when you are back or when you need it. Regards
there's 2 things you need to do to get these 2 devices to communicate. One is to make the bluetooth kit "findable" (for lack of a better term). and also have your phone search for the searchable device. I'm not sure what your phone car kit is.... but check the instructions on how to put it into search mode. (I know that with a bluetooth headset, you hold the on button in and the indicator will change to a different color indicating search mode. once you figure this part of the equation out, then access the phone menu for blue tooth and search for bluetooth findable equipment and it should list your car kit on the phone screen. After that it is just a matter of entering a typical 0000 id code if needed and it should be paired with your carkit. hope this helps...
Lawson, did you solve the problem? I have a similar problem, I can hardly hear my Nokia 3109C at full volume in the Bury carkit. The workshop told me that their Nokia worked fine, they suggested installing new firmware on my phone, however I have the latest version installed (7.21). Hans
I have the same phone. I have had that same problem before. What i did to fix it was to take a blowdryer (on the cool setting -not warm or hot) and take the battery out and blow the phone with it. The reason it says carkit is because moisture got into the phone somehow. Mine first started saying carkit when my friend dunked my phone in a cup of water. I hope this helps you with your phone. Also if the blowdryer doesnt work then try using a can of pressurized air.
No need to get to the back of the radio to connect this unit as it will broadcast over an fm frequency. But if you have have issues with static, you may need to install an FM Direct Adapter which plugs into the back of your car stereo where the antenna plugs in now. Professional installation is advised, but not required. If you need more specific help, let me know.
hi Mr.Frazier....is the xm radio hardwired installed? if it's a yes you have to go to a professional(bestbuy, retailers) to have the connection check.. the problem is not within the xm radio..it's on how it was installed or set up...
If the radio was not built..well, that's much better we just have to check the audio connection from you're xm to fm radio (make sure to check if what band it is connected..such as AUX,CD etc.) if there's a sound but you're only getting preview channels..refresh must be send on the radio...you can call xm to ask for that OR do it online at www.refresh.xmradio.com and type in your 8 digit radio I.D just have to follow the activation instruction faithfully...Godbless!
Oop!
Oops, I found the problem, had to apply great pressure to fuully insert the antenna leads.
