Maytag MER6772 Hello. I've owned my Gemini for 3 years and have loved it...but in the past since months...the 2 right eyes have stopped working...and of the remaining 2..only the back left one is consistent. The front right one goes on and off. HELP. ps...the ovens seem to work fine...only problems with the cooktop. Thanks, Tina

I had same problem, error code F 1-8, shorted keypad. I was so frustrated I went ahead and tore it apart. There was a surprising amount of gunk and moisture between the plastic face and the actual contacts. I cleaned it up and let it dry out. It worked OK for a while, but the seal is not good, and moisture from baking is still getting into it. When it goes bad again, I'm going to take off the plastic face and just press the sensors with a pencil eraser. I'll probably replace the range within the year. No way I'm paying $385 for new pad + installation on 10 year old stove.

there are two very small screws on the corners above the door, some times more along the whole front
once removed your top will flip right up

The screws the hold the cooktop in place are usually located uder the the bottom front edge. You will need to open the oven door to see them.
