The Actuator on my ice despensor model @@2

The ice machine part: how do I clean the flap or actuator? Can I remove that part to clean and if so how? Thank you

  • Anonymous Jun 30, 2012

It's that flapper that releses the ice. There is one screw on the upper right side. Do I remove that and the light bulb to remove that section to remove and clean? Model SS2 Maytag

Kenmore refrigerator model 106.57372700

This is usually not hard to fix. Either the tab that hold the dispenser actuator is broken or the ice guide may have come loose. Repairclinic.com has a nice video on how to fix this.

Why does my cube ice does not dispense ice?

Check to see if the actuator is lifting up. sometimes these freeze and won't lift the arm that releases that grinding blades. It is in the back panel behind the ice bucket. Remove the bucket and hit the light switch. Then hit the ice actuator flap on the door and see if the little "stirrup" looking thing jumps up. There is usually a clicking sound when it lifts. it could be frozen or just bad.

I have a 1998 cadillac deville the ac blows hot air on the drivers side and cold air on the passsages side..how can i fix this?

Hi

The temperature door actuator motor on the drivers side is damage.

The actuator is what moves the temperature blend door and when it fails it usually moves the door all the way to the "hot" position.

Uninstall and reinstall this Blend door Acutator

All you have to do is.

  • Remove the fasteners (1) from the sound insulator to the instrument panel (IP) lower.
  • Remove the courtesy lamp (3) from the sound insulator by twisting the lamp a quarter turn counter-clockwise.
  • Disengage the data link connector from the insulator panel.
  • Pull the sound insulator (2) rearward and remove the sound insulator from the vehicle.
  • Remove the rear compartment lid/fuel filler door release switch assembly.

  • Partially remove the instrument cluster trim plate (2) by carefully pulling the plate rearward.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the trim plate (2).
  • Remove the trim plate (2).
  • Remove the fog lamp switch (4), if necessary, by releasing the retaining tabs.

  • Remove the fasteners (2,4).
  • Remove the knee bolster trim panel (3).
  • Remove the driver air mix actuator retaining screws.
  • Remove the electrical connector from the driver air mix actuator.

  • Remove the driver air mix actuator (3).
  • Thanks

For some reason the dispenser will stop working part of the time and more recently will stick on and overflow.I pulled the cover off the inside of the door and there is ice buitl up on the insulation.

You need to thaw out the ice machine and see if it works after you thaw it out if that does not fix the problem then the control arm for the ice dispenser is bent.

Replaced heater core. Mt car has the dual temperature zones. Now my passenger side temp wont change. stays hot, What should I do?

Either pass side actuator was not plugged in(rear most unit on heater of the 2 actuators for dual zone),(front unit which is an exact opposite is on the opposite side of the heater on the front side) or flap is jammed inside heater assembly.
Open the glove compartment and unscrew the door to remove.
Look to the left......remove the actuator and move the flap....if it moves and the unit was plugged in replace the actuator for the pass side.

    Ford ka 2005 heater fault

There is a vacuum operated actuator that is in the venting system When you switch your control knob, a vaccum pressure is applied to this actuator. Then the actuator moves a flap that controls the warm air/cold air flow. The flap can get stuck, or the actuator can become leaky or weak
