My Polaroid 42 Inch LCD Keeps shutting off.

it may be interference with other remote operated items within say 300 ft of this tv..like celphone signals..or some electrical issue creating an electromagnetic field strong enough to makle it work funny..check all electrical components for interference issues..

Common short the cover cap over the video & sound boards short out if you remove it the cap only (shield metal) it usually will fix this

Did you measure diagonally from corner to corner? This is usually how all manufacturers quote screen size. Hope this helps

press and hold the tv botton on you dish remote till all the lights light up release the tv botton it should stay flashing then hit the larger of the two red power bottons next you will need to hit the up arrow one at a time till the tv shuts off when the tv shuts off you then hit the # botton at the bottom you wiil see the tv botton flash your code will then be saved
