Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "AcerSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

aiptek web site has a driver solution for vista users I had same problem but with Win XP it keep seeing it as a flash drive .... I uninstalled drivers and re-installed them,- same error, then uninstalled again and removed the USB from device manager uninstalled direct X cause it was the newest version, then install everything from scratch without turning the camera on then try again and nothing, finally I turn to the manual and somewhere says "if you need to use it as web cam then press the menu button on the camera and select camara!!! as soon as I did that and additional port found in windows was detected and installed automatically then I got my video and microfono up and running. So easy right, but like always the software CD is missing the manuals too and people do not read. LOL .....
1. driver are needed to install your web camera which are found online. 2. You will need to go to the "device manager. go to the "update" tab and update drivers 3. the prompt window will ask you for either a location or the install disk ... select location where you downloaded the drivers. Hope this helps If any steps missing you can find out how either on Microsoft.com or your help files on your computer under the start menu or orb on Windows 7
Now using the supplied disk install the camera software but please do not connect the camera YET, if the camera is already connected,
remove the camera and reboot,
so you installed the camera software now plug the usb camera in, it will now detect the install camera software and work.
