How can I clear all memory from SanDisk MP3 player, and start over.

Under the Clip's "Settings" menu, you will see an item called "Format". Select that, and it will erase all songs from the player.

I would like to know how you can format the memory to eliminate everything. I have connected it to my computer and erased manually all the songs. But when i disconnect it, the songs are still there.

I am not sure how you have tried to erase the songs using your computer, but try erasing the songs this way. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thank You

I've erased all songs but when i tried to download new ones, the mpg player is telling me that the disk is full and that i needed to erased some memory. how do i clear this problem?

You can do a reformat of your Sansa MP3 player. Hook up your mp3 player to your computer's usb port. Once the computer detected the new usb device, open your windows explorer by clicking windows start button and clicking Run; type "explorer" without the quotes. From your Windows Explorer, click My Computer and under it find for the drive letter associated to your Mp3 player. Right click on that drive and choose Format. Do a quick format and follow the steps.

How do I downlaod to a Sandisk MPS player modeil # SDMX1-256R v2? What media platform do I need?

(to clear or 'erase' skip to format -below)
1ST: Just try to 'reset' by holding down the main center button AND pushing UP on the lock/off-on button, for about 8-9 seconds,
It will then 'refresh' the database, shouldn't lose anything,
OR:
Most other problems can be fixed ultimately by the following;
REFORMAT the SansaDisk Clip by finding it in My Computer and right click then just 'format' the thing. THEN drag and drop new music into it (or books), DRAG and DROP, you apparently erase the thing with a 'FORMAT' ....BUT - it's .sys files remain and it is like new {as in empty}
This usually fixes almost anything, should even erase a virus (I'm guessing) but shouldn't hurt it.
Good Luck!

Not sure what you mean by "Windows media" . Are you trying to erase items on your player because the memory is full? If so press and hold your toggle switch until the menu shows, toggle down to "Settings" and press it once, then toggle down to "Delete File" and then toggle to the file you want to erase, select it and then toggle to "OK" to delete. Not sure if this helps. To clear everything and start over you can also toggle to settings,system,format and reformat the memory.
