SOURCE: 3rd party firmware broke my router!
did you check whether you have downloaded the correct firmware for your linksys???

First off thanks for using fixya.com
Second, I too am a dd-wrt user and found a similar problem when using dd-wrt with my IPCOP. You may want to go into the "Security" section of your dd-wrt and disable any fire walling or access-restrictions. Since you are already running zonealarm. Or remove zonealarm if you plan to use dd-wrt as your firewall.
Running multiple firewalls will slow down your network/Internet traffic.
Hope this helps you out.

Try loging into the router's user interface and do a restore factory settings, but don't try if the wan ip was configured through static or pppoa

Hi Friend
in order to upgrade the firmware please follow the steps:
1. Click the link (http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/)
2. Enter the model number of the router and hit enter.
3.Click Download Tab
4.Now enter the hardware version of the router (which you can find by turning the router upside down)
5.Now you can download the firmware which is a .bin file and save it to the desktop.
6.Open the router page and click Administration and click Firmware upgrade.
7.Select the file from the desktop by clicking Browse and start upgrade.
8.Turn off the router for 30 seconds after upgradation and turn it on..
i hope this will resolve the issue.
