Go to your on screen menu under dtr settings and format the hard drive. If you have been recording the hard drive may be full and some programs need to be deleted to allow more recording space. You may also unplug the unit for several minutes and use the reset box option.

Even though it can be synchronised with any universal remote controls, all functions will not work properly.So it is best to get an orginal one. Contact the Authorised Service Center for Yamaha at your town. They can provide you the orginal one. The cost will be a little bit more, but original is original. OK.
