Well, your answer would seem to be simple...but in truth it could be many a issue. Just because the light is on does't mean anybodys home. Basic, (a) the cold control (dial in fresh food section that usually shows the word "off" at the warmest point on the dial) try turning it up to its coldest. Sometimes it might not reset after it turns off when it senses its cold. Also try tapping in the area of the control. If the freezer fan is not operating this or the defrost control could be the issue. (b) The defrost timer (mechanical or electronic) might have fail to advance out of defrost. Advanced items, (a) The compressor and or compressor relay and overload might be bad. (b) The evaporator fan is not operating (controled by the cold control circuit). (c) the condenser fan failed, which will cause the compressor to fail or shut down due to overheating. (the condenser fan is controled through the compressor circuit. These advanced items would need a multimeter and a understanding of circuit diagrams.

After 7 yrs of use, it just stopped working

I agree that It could be one of the other reasons listed here.....

But, I had the same problem with a 1,000 watt Kenwood amplifier and it worked like a boss for the whole two years that I had it and then one day the box that I had my subs in somehow came apart and after I changed out boxes the amp quit working. It came on but it wouldn't work anymore except for when I turned it a certain way or sat it against something.. Anyway it ended up being a loose female port plug on the inside where the auxilary cables plug up.

Hope it helps.

My two idiotlights don't come on when you turn key on and head lights don't work. have replaced ing. switch with no change

check for a fuse near the engine to tractor wiring connector. check battery cables for looseness & corrosion. tighten the ground cable where it connects to the chassis and inspect the engine to chassis bolts. loose connections can cause backfeed problems, such as when you step on the brake pedal in your car, and can then turn on the radio...

Kenmore coldspot mod:78202891 defrost not working water in refrigerator

if you have water leaking into the fridge it sounds like it's defrosting but the drain is blocked and the water has nowhere else to go but into the fridge.when you send the model number send the first three numbers too i think it's 106.,if you have a defrost problem the back inside wall of the freezer would have like snow covering it,look where the light is in the fridge section, you'll see a hole, stick a stright blade screw driver in it and turn slowly, this is the timer, leave the freezer door open while you do this, when you turn it you'll hear a click and the fan will stop blowing, you just put it into defrost mode, the heater will come on and start melting the ice, while it's in defrost remove everything out of the freezer, remove the freezer floor and back inside wall, with a hair dryer melt all the ice you see and then you'll see the drain hole under the coil, you have to clear the drain,i use a steemer to blow through the line, then pour hot water into the hole,if it drains down i know the drain is clear,if you don't have a steemer you need something that will blow or push water through the line like a turkey baster or some guys say they use a shop vac set on blow but whatever works to free the drain, keep hitting the hole with the hair dryer and stick a screw driver into the hole, the blade will heat up and slide into the drain to melt the ice, also you can heat up the ceiling in the fridge section in the back, middle of the ceiling, the drain is in there so heating that up will help, when you think the drain is clear pour hot water into the drain,if it drains through you're done,if not keep hitting it until it's clear.when you clear the drain you can buy a heater probe that you rap one end around the heater and stick the other end into the drain hole, when the heater comes on the metal warms up keeping the drain from freezing or if you have a piece of house wire you can make a probe out of the ground wire, cut it around 6 inches, bend one end so you can slide it onto the heater, stick it into the drain until you feel it hit the bottom, cut around a half inch off it so it won't block anything in the bottom of the drain and then attach it onto the heater or if it's a glass heater attach it to the metal cover that's in front of the heater.if you don't want to put anything in the drain that's ok too.good luck with your fridge and i hope this helps you out.

My Silk Epil 7 has stopped working, the epillator head has stopped rotating. I doubt that some hair has got stuck inside. Could ypu please help?

My Braun worked fine the last time I used it & would not come on when I tried it today. Worked on it & found it to be jammed with hair. Would not rotate. Scrubbed it with a toothbrush, started digging out the hair, forced it to rotate, scrubbed it some more, & rotated it some more. The more I worked with it the more hair kept coming out. It's rotating fine now. I think I'm going to clean it with my water pik. My Braun is the kind that can be used with water & the top part comes off. Haven't used it yet but I think I have fixed it. Wish I could get it apart to clean it out but the head of the screw is strange & I don't have anything that will turn it.

My amp will turn on and even when I have the guitar and amp connected no sound comes from the amp. I don't know what to try to fix it, so I have left it alone, testing it every once in a while (it...

Possibly a loose connection, or bad solder connection. unplug it from power.

If you think you are up to it geta soldering iron and some solder, and a screwdriver, and take the amp part out. be careful of the speaker wires. put some tape on each one and label them so you know where to put them back. after you got it out you might have to take some more screws out to get the board off of the chasis, so you can see under it. this is where all the components are soldered to the board. maybe use a magnifying glass. touch up anything that looks questionable.
do all over. you don't need to know what everything does if you just go all over. careful not to cause any shorts. you might see something that obviously needs to be fixed. you have found a problem. you can't fix something if you don't find a problem. do all over anyway if you think you still have to.

Put it back well enough to test it. then put it all the way back together, or continue to look for a problem, or take it to someone, like me!

Good luck

Water is collecting on the top shelf & in the bottom of the refrigerator. Water is clear. Water at bottom will partially freeze. Cleaned the coils & made sure all vents were unblocked. Problem...

if you have water leaking down from the freezer into the fridge you have a blocked drain in the freezer,if you pulled off the back inside wall of the freezer and melted the ice off of the coil you should have noticed that the water wasn't draining down the drain hole under the coil.pull off the back inside wall of the freezer, look under the coil and you'll see a drain hole, when the freezer defrosts the ice melts and goes into the drain hole and down into the pan at the bottom of the fridge where the compressor is and it evaporates, your drain is blocked and the water is draining into the fridge section.unplug it,melt out any ice with a hair dryer, now you have to clear the drain line,i use a steemer to do this,it blows steem down into the drain and cleans it out in no time but if you don't have a steemer you need something that will push air down into the hole like a turkey baster or even a shop vac, pull off the hose and stick it into the other hole and then you can blow through the drain line with it,when you think the line is clear pour hot water into the hole,if it drains through your done,if not keep hitting it,also if you open the fridge door and with the hair dryer heat up the middle ceiling in the back, that's also part of the drain,in the middle of the ceiling and back wall where they meet, heat it up for around 5 minutes and then try the water,it will clear out,it could take around an hour or so to do it.

Small amount of water drips down from back/center top inside frig.

it sounds like the drain is blocked in the freezer.unplug it,pull everything out of the freezer, remove the back inside wall of the freezer, melt out all ice with hair dryer, next you'll see a hole under the evap coil, that's the drain hole, you have to clear the drain line,i use a steemer to do this,if you don't have a steemer you need something that will blow through the line like a turkey baster or something like that, keep heating up the area around the drain opening, also you can heat up the ceiling in the fridge section with the hair dryer, open the fridge door,in the back middle where the ceiling and back wall meet heat up this area, this is where the drain runs into the back wall, when you think the drain is clear pour a half cup of hot water into the hole,if it drains you're done,if not keep at it ubtil you free it up.

Ok i just got the sub from a sony sswg450 i want to know is there some way to hook it up to my Pioneer home Receiver

Did you get a manual with it? According to the Sony site this speaker originates in Sony MHC-GX450.

"This product bundle includes the following models:
HCD-GX450 - STEREO MINI SYSTEM
RM-SC3 - REMOTE CONTROL for Shelf Mini Systems
SSRG444 - FRONT SPEAKER FOR MHCGX450
SS-WG450 - SUBWOOFER FOR MHCGX450"

Find the manual here and learn a bit about your seprated sub...

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=MHCGX450

See page 7.

As can be seen, the subwoofer has two connections to the mothership, very unlike the standard speaker level (+/-) speaker wire or RCA-Line-Level subwoofer out that 'normal passive or active subwoofers use, respectively.

Not knowing which of those your unspecified Pioneer receiver supports, it is impossible to say. Does your Pioneer have that control jack?

Mini-systems are generally not designed to be pieced out and used with grown-up gear. The absence of standardized connections is the clue.
