Actually I found out that for a LG dishwasher it is as likely to be the cable/cord attached to the spring and door. This a very odd setup in that this cable is made of nylon cord, and not any thicker than a round shoelace! It clearly should be metal cable, and it's not that hard to replace the nylon stuff with steel. Anyway, it is worth it to pull the unit out and open the side panel to see if in facts it's a broken cord or spring first before ordering any parts.

Additional info: I've replaced two of these spring cables now, and one spring itself. It's the cables that seem the most likely to go, but it's important to get the proper replacement part. It has a particular way of connecting to the door and washer and anything else will not do the job.

Yes.  Generally, there are two springs on the bottom of the door-oneon each side- inside the motor housing that have broken.  Get them from any supplier.  Remove the kick plate, locate the spring locations and install them.  There is usually a hook on the door assembly and a hole in the frame where they go.  Illustrations of this are available on line at parts suppliers if you need them.  The parts are just a few dollars.

Dishwasher falling forward

Open the door and look up at the leading edge of the dishwasher..you should see two metal eyelets that may or may not need to be bent up or swung into position. Take two sheetrock screws and screw one into each eyelet up into the underneath of your countertop that will hold it in place

Hoover dishwasher door

A metal bad with a spring on each end is used to couner balance the door. Take off the curved plastic moulding at the front bottom 2 screws at front and 2 underneath.
Then remove as many screws as you can that secures the left hand casing you just need to get to left hand side near the bottom.
Once there you can check if both springs are secure it is probable that one of these has become dislodged you can get some pliers and bend the hooks better so that it will not happen again.

KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDSO2FRSS

I recently had the same problem. One of the cords that attaches the door to a spring had snapped. I purchased cord replacments at the following URL and completed the repair myself. http://www.repairclinic.com/SmartSearch/SSPartDetail.aspx?PartID=1059756&PPStack=1

Kitchaide Dishwash Door

There is normally 2 heavy springs & cables that control the "falling" of the door located in the bottom of the machine or it the door itself. Sounds like one (or both) have snapped.
