I have had the same problem several times. Each time I needed to flash the firmware. Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type in the model number (yp-mt6) click on firmware, and download the version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up first). After that its like brand new. Kepe the updater handy, I fixed this the first time, and it kept reoccuring every few months.
your hard drive is about to fail or has failed.
If you can still play music from stored area and If you want to keep your songs thats stored on system, turn off at power point and take to bose auth repairer, they should be able to transfer songs across to new hard drive.
I have same problem, this is a common problem with bose.... not good for how much they are. Hard drive is left of cd tray, on its side.
hope this helps :)
This mp3 player and many others do not play or do anything on screen besides charge WHILE it is connected to the computer. You can transfer songs to the player while it is connected to the PC. After it is disconnected, then you can play songs.
most likely you need to reformat your player and resync the music to it. License errors usually occur when you get a song and its like a free trial song, and rhapsody is known to have some issues with their 36 hour rental songs on MP3 devices
I had the same problem and solved it with this:
On the Samsung support page, there´s a knowledge base called "YP-T6 Or YP-MT6 Show No File And Zero Free Memory"
you need to download the latest firmare from the downloads section, then with the uptader on the PC, remove the battery from the YP-T5 or 6 and connect the USB cable to a PC while pressing and holding the play button on the YP-T. It should connect in a recovery mode which allows you to update the firmware, format the flash drive and get going again !
