Hello,
My Hotpoint Aquarius WF220 refuses to power on. This happend about a month ago, I unplugged it, left it for half an hour and when I tried again it was fine - until now. I've had no other problems with it at all, and am reluctant to call out an engineer without trying a few fixes first. It's only 3 years old.
Thanks

This sounds like the min bearings have gone, open the door and see if there is any play up and down on the drum. if so its the bearing if not it could be something that has fallen from a pocket and got stuck between the metal clothes drum and the oute drum casing. a take apart job i am afraid for both issues.

probably due to not draining.
there is a filter in the system which you need to remove and clean. possible also that you have a foreign object jamming the pump.
take the back panel at the bottom of the machine off.
you will see a large diameter hose going from the bottom of the tub to the pump.remove this hose at the tub end. lots of water will come out so make sure none goes on the motor. the filter is inside this hose. take out and clean
let me know if this doesn't work

Hi, I have experienced this problem on several hotpoint machines with led display's. There is really only one solution for it! If there are no wires hanging off then the answer is in the board, And you will need to replace it. It is a non servicable part and cost around £40.00+++.
Good luck.....

Hi, Ok first things first where is your machines waste pipe connected? If it connected to the sink trap check there first by undoing it and check that there is nothing inside stopping it from letting the water out..?
If this is clear then have you lost anything? Sock? ETC....? Can you hear the pump? And is the water draining but not spinning?
If you cannot hear the pump running then it will more that likely be the pump as they are a magnetic pump which fail quite alot. If the pump is running then it is going to be something you have lost which will be located in the sump hose underneath the machine whic comes from the tub to the pump. Take it off and check and clean as nesscerary. Or last but not least it could be the fact it is doing everything but not spinning ( no drum action )? Check the motor carbon brushes if they are low then this will cause the problem or the motor has failed!....
Good luck and let me know ho you get on??

its a matter of removing the front retaining wire and the inner one which holds it onto the drum, an easy enough job to get off, sometimes a pain to get the inner off and on depending whether it s the screw or clamp type , screw=easy. to get the clamp off use a screwdriver to wiggle the bent wire out of the ratchet grooves. to put back is done with long nose pliers, preferably bent nose ones.

Hi, the model I have doesn't have an electronic display. There is a programme selection dial, then a series of buttons (such as rinse hold and the power button) that have an LED next to them.
Hope that helps.
exactly the same problem ?
Does it show any error message on the display?
