1. Check flyback
2. check poersupply <all fuses> Capacitor ect.
3. Recheck flyback its a common problem first then work you way down.

A shorted horizontal output transistor or shorted flyback. If the flyback is shorted replace also its HOT.

bad electrolytics vert circuit. 

You can adjust the brightness on the back of the set which says screen. put a mirror so you can see the screen and slowly turn the screw clockwise until you can see the picture.

is the squealing noise from the back of ur set , if so it is ur flyback transformer

If it is a high wattage resistor and it is burned, chances are you have more than that wrong with the set. Resistors rarely fail unless something else shorts and draws excessive current through it.

Sorry, that is common for generic replacement xformers for
your make / model . There are some adjustments to minimize
the effect in servicer menu...............you can try turning down the
screen control a bit....................T.

Confirm service # from back of set = F36650 YX01..........
Transformer red HV lead attaches to CRT & Horiz output
xistor is on heatsink next to transformer = 2SC5148 .........
Rca part # 257805 or ASTI 2078 and 237470 xistor............
Do not use a generic transistor = name brand only............T.
