Maytag Quiet Series 300 Contol Lock Light On does not turn off by holding heated-dry button for 3 seconds as manual states.

Control Lock Light is On and will not turn off by holding the heated dry button for 3 seconds as manual states. Also tried turning power off, via circuit board, for various lengths of time (up to 30 minutes) hoping for a reset, but it did not. Is there an alternative way to turn the control lock off, or a way to reset the controls to original condition? Thanks

Hold down the heated-dry button for 3 seconds and the light will clear.

SOURCE: Our dishwasher's lock indicator won't turn off,

Try holding the button down for longer say 5 seconds. When you push the button and hold it the little green light should blink. I would disconnect the power for longer..try 20 minutes. If that does not work then remove the inner panel and disconnect the control panel connector from the control box then plug it back in...see if that clears the locked control. If it continues to have a problem then you may need to replace the control panel.

Try pressing and holding Heated Dry Button for about five seconds. If it's locked that should onlock it. Hope that is your problem.

press and hold the heated dry button 3 seconds it will unlock the dishwasher. That 3 with the lock around it show you that the dishwasher has been locked out to keep buttons from being able to be pushed. You can lock it and unlock it by holding the heated dry button 3 seconds.

When Control Lock is lit, all buttons are disabled. If you press
any pad while your dishwasher is locked, the light flashes
5 times. The dishwasher door can be opened while the
controls are locked.

To turn off Lock, press and hold Heated Dry for at least
3 seconds.

My maytag 200 quiet series dishwasher has a button with the number 3 next to the start/cancel button and will not start. The 3 flashes but won't start? Any idea what that means?
The control panel has bee locked. Press and hold the heated dry button for 3 seconds until the light next to the lock "3" button goes off. This feature is to prevent small children from starting it. Locking the controls works the same way, hold the heated dry button for 3 seconds will turn it back on.

I have a maytag quiet series 100 dishwasher and it will not run a lock light comes on and i have replace a broken handle assembly but light stays on
the control panel is locked. dont know your model number to tell you what buttons you hold to unlock it, but some models have a lock button you hold down for 3-5 seconds. other models just have a lock light, and have a line indicating 2 buttons that you hold down for 3-5 seconds. if you cant find which buttons to hold down, refer to your owners manual. once the control panel is unlocked, it will run again. shane

Mine was doing the same thing and I just pressed and held down the heated dry button until the light went off. Then I was able to start my machine as usual. Hope this works for you.

Maytag Quiet Series 300 Will not work at all, only the lock feature is lit.
I had the same problem. The lock button light was on, nothing happened when pressing start, cancel, etc. I also tried holding the heated dry button (lock) for 3 seconds and no luck UNTIL holding down for three seconds while also pressing the cancel button. I was then able to start cycle as normal.
