Hi hollywuud, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?

Does the problem appear on all inputs, or just one? Does it affect the menu display? Are the lines only on the edges of the picture, or do they appear all over? Are there color fringes on the edges of the lines? Are the lines horizontal or vertical? How wide are they? Do they move, and if so, in what way/

This will help us narrow down the problem perhaps to a specific module or part.

I have a Mitsubishi TV model 73838, only getting black screen when turned on. Also replaced DLP ... getting red/ orange flashing light Changed lamb ad

If you have replaced the DLP lamp and are still experiencing a black screen, along with a flashing red/orange light, there are a few possible causes. One possible issue is with the color wheel. The color wheel is responsible for producing the colors on the screen, and if it malfunctions, it can cause the TV to display a black screen. Another possible issue could be with the ballast, which powers the lamp. If the ballast is malfunctioning, it can cause the TV to fail to turn on. It is also possible that there could be an issue with the power supply or the main board.
In order to determine the cause of the issue, you may need to contact a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the TV. It is important to ensure that any repairs or replacements are done by a qualified technician to avoid any further damage to the TV.

Screen role red and green wavie lines.

Hello dctc1,

Looks like there is a problem with the convergence IC's. You will have to replace both of them. I would also look for busted capacitors around the IC's.

However, if you are not familiar with TV repairs, I would advise against opening up the set. Best get a service man to come and diagnose/repair the set.

Hope that helps!

Wavy lines all over the screen on a 55 in. Mitsubishi DLP 2005 Tv that has intermitent wavy lines around all the edges of the people and edges of the screen. Jerky picture and almost makes you sic...

You probably have a V26 chassis. The only fix to this problem now that parts are no longer available from MITS is to call their Consumer relations dept. at 800-332-2119. If you have a qualified tech come out and estimate the job, Mits will offer you an attractive discount on a new model. To repair your problem would be around $750

The picture on my Mitsubishi WD62725 is starting to show some wavy lines and snow. We had a repairman come and he said that it needs a new chassis which would run around $550 and he said that it was not...

If the set is 6 years old I would not put $550 into it, but a new 60-65 DLP should only run you from 1200-1800. If you check around you will find alot of Mits DLPs on the internet for even less.

Blue Flickering Screen - Which Repair Kit?

yes they provide a free service manual with their kits. the symptom of the blue screen could either be the signal or the FMT as they can both cause those symptoms, My professional guess would be the signal board as the FMT will cause distortion lines across the screen with no picture.
