NO picture I have a sony trinitron 32" tv. unfortunatly today i switched it on adn there was no picture but there was sound. please tell me how to fix the problem

Trinitron tubes are the best ever built picture tubes - long life, best contrast and sharpness, brilliant colors, etc thou u never get with any modern lcd screen. otherwise the big form factor is uncompareable with todays thin screens. also the brand itself and in your case the wega model is a name on its own high standard. anyway i would recommend you to let your tv check by a local service cause it sounds like a electronical problem - let them tell you how much aproximately fixing will count - before they repair it - so you still can decide is it worth or not. hope to helped a bit.

Blinking of standby light in Sony sets are fault indications. You just count the number of blinks occur at a time, by switching the set ON-OFF by its front panel power switch, not by the remote control handset. Just do it for at least three or four times, count the exact number of blinks occurs there, and inform it to me through Fixya. Through the number of blinks, I can locate the faulty section, of somtimes to the exact fault location. Count it keenly and inform me. OK.

There are two IC's that need to be replaced they are on the D Board, One is used in the power regulation and the other is for HV Regulation, cost to repair this plus parts should not cost more then $150.00..

has a sony 41" REAR PROJECTION TV THE STAND BY LAMP IS BLINLING HAS RESET IT , NOTHING. HAS NO PICTURE NO SOUND

I have a 36 Trinitron, the sound and picture went but the red light just keeps blinking, any ideas? Please ....

While I was reading some other post about this problem, one guy said to try using a hairdryer on the right side of the TV for a few minutes to dry out humidity, becuse the trinitron has some kind of feature that causes it to 'protect itself' when too much humidity is in the air.
Hmmmmm sounded silly, but we had nothing to lose and tried it.
Lo and behold, our TV is back on.

No picture, FR406 ok
Check the video output amplifier stage for failure
Display dead rest of functions ok
Change transistor Q1701 on Timer operation board
