It is possible that menu button on the monitor is stuck. I suggest to call your computer manufacturer where you purchased the monitor, check for the warranty and request for a replacement.

The problem is caused by either its main controller board or button controller board.
Well, I will try to change button board first, because it's cheap.
If you have never open up the LCD monitor, please don't open it up and try to fix! Either you will damage the monitor when you open and/or be shocked by high voltage electricity!!
The only suggestion I could make would be to consider opening the monitor up and inspecting the control panel for a stuck button or damaged control. While this is feasible, the real question is whether it is cost effective if repairable. The ever decreasing cost of equipment is making monitor replacement very affordable, even if it is filling our landfills with junk.
You must reset the on screen display in the menu. Hold down the Menu button for at least 60 seconds. A menu list will appear on your monitor screen. Using the adjust button, press the arrows to enter the menu. Scroll down to the Reset section. On the right side of your screen, you will see an alternating Yes/No choice. When the Yes message flashes, press the Ok button. The menu should be reset and the flashing OSD control message should disappear. I hope it helps. That is the OSD (On Screen Display) system built-in to your computer monitor. Check that when you hit the ON/OFF button on your monitor, that you do *NOT* hit the 'OSD ON/OFF' button.
Most of the time, the OSD will disappear after 10 seconds of "non-use".
Your screen settings are not optimized for that monitor, most Gateways (to h*&%) come with a drivers disks for the monitors put that in and run setup for the monitor.
it may just be stuck , if you push the button does it click like the others, a little wd40 around the button , lightly, may unstick it. or you have to take the bezel off and see if the positioning is the issue.
