I've had my XM Radio for 9 months. It's an ExpressEZ installed in my 2008 Toyota Corolla. I've never had a single problem with it. 3 days ago, I turned off my car and the radio was working perfectly. When I came back to my car 5 hours later, the radio wouldn't pick up a station for more than 1 minute at a time, then it would lose the signal and blink "loading..." or "no signal". It never stays on any of these messages for very long. I called XM and they told me that it was a wiring issue, but I was skeptical, so I called my dealer and told me that it was definitely not a wiring issue. Can someone please help me??

There is an internal battery to hold the station and presets. It is probably no good. Either that or there is something very wrong with the unit.
Here is what I recommend. Call XM. Tell them your receiver is not longer functioning correctly and that you are thinking about canceling your service because you don't have a receiver. They will then offer you a receiver because they don't make much money on them, the make their money on the service.
that's how you get a new free satilite radio.

I am having the same exact problem in my VW 2006 TDI Jetta. This appears to not be limited to GM cars. The radio had worked flawlessly for 5 years until March 20. Only channel 0,1, 247 work. Multiple refresh signal had been sent. Although, at one point XM tech support stated that 6 signal were in cue at had not been sent due to a computer issue on their side. Still no solution. I guess I will be canceling my subscription.

Remove the Audio Fuse and then put it back in and the problem is solved. So frustrating that I had to find this solution on another site as both the dealer and XM had no idea how to fix it. Dealer tried to tell me it was a bad radio and I'd have to get a replacement from Hyundai.

I have the same radio, and same problem. Problem started in about October 2008. XM tech support says I need to get the XM SureConnect kit to solve the problem. But since this kit only deals with the issue of linking the satellite receiver to the FM radio, I can't see where this would help.
But it does appear to me that XM has made some kind of change in their sat broadcast that is causing this problem. (Maybe reduction in power?)
Ant one else have a suggestion??
I have a Delphi XM SkiFi2 which I have used problem free for 2 years. But just recently when I first turn on the car and the unit powers up, I will lose my preset station (shows "loading") and then resets to the XM channel 1. When I press one of my preset station buttons, it will again lose the signal ("loading") and takes about a minute to find the signal.
I believe this problem coincided with the addition of the Sirius stations. I can't believe this is just a new problem with my unit and others must be having the same problem. I think it is an XM satellite problem. How would I even try to ask someone at XM radio?
Same thing two weeks ago. It worked fine, now "it's loading" whenever I turn it on or switch preset stations. All radios stop working when sirius comes on?!?! It's their problem not the radios.
I have the same problem in my 2007 FJ crusier. Radio loses signal, blinks loading than no signal message appears.
This happens to my in home unit only on sundays. Of course that is the time when you want to relax and listen to the music.....Every Sunday. Maybe no one is working on sundays at sirius/XM. I hate the Sirius side of things. they ruined the channel line up....
brand new saturn vue, xm signals not being picked up after 3 attemtps
Same thing happens with me, and it all started right after the merge with Sirius and the channel lineup changes. When I called Tech Support they tried to tell me to refresh the radio, which I had already done. That works, but it will happen again. Seems to happen mostly when I have any of the channels from 70 to 79 tuned in. Yes, I know that sounds bizarre.
happens on one of our radios (we have two on account) periodically. Usually going to XM website and eventually finding troubleshooting or something similar will lead me to "refresh radio" - which I do and this has resolved problem in the past. Takes about 15-30 minutes for channels to come back. Follow the instructions. FYI I have strong signals with antenna, but channels load for a second and then go out with loading showing. Try the refresh solution. Good luck. George
