Hi, I was given the above TV by a friend the other night because it was diagnosed with a bad optical block and he chose to replace it. I had to transport it face down when I moved it from his home to mine. I plugged it in and it played perfectly all day. However, when I turned it back on later that day, the screen was filled with pink vertical lines about a half inch wide and all across the TV screen. If the optical block was bad, why did the TV work fine for a while? I'm thinking a bad connection or a loose circuit board may be the problem. Do you have any suggestions on where to start and are there any common problems with these TVs that have the same issues as I have described and if so, what was the repair? Thanks

dear, the circuit for controlling speed is affected and that circuit is composed of passive componets inductor, resistor and capacitors. the only possibilities is to check loose connections a round the line transformer and around the vertical section. also check and measure the values of your electrolitic capacitors, cause these also change values when wax finishes in side them.
