Shelew, Do you by chance have Comcast High-speed access? ?sdc-Scheduler? is a program that is part of Comcast?s software installation and specifically is a diagnostic support program Comcast techs use if needed. If you do have the software installed chances are good you?ve never used it and won?t need it. If that is the case you can uninstall it and make your problem go away. Go to the Windows Add/Remove programs utility, look for a program called ?ComcastSUPPORT?, highlighting it and clicking on the Remove button. Let us know if this works and please don?t forget to rate this posting.
Can you give me the exact wording of the error message and when it appears?
Are you running Windows XP?
- Click on Start then run.
- In the Open field enter MSConfig and click on the OK button
- In the system configuration utility click on the startup tab.
- In the startup column scan through it and look for the ?sdc-Scheduler?.
- When/if you find it look just to the right in the Command column and record what you find here. This is the physical path to where this program lives on your hard drive and may give us an idea later what it is.
- As a test remove the checkmark to the far left of the sdc-Scheduler. This will keep the program from running when we reboot and test, hopefully.
- Click on the ok button, and you will be prompted to restart. Accept it reboot and use the computer as you would normally, trying to get the error message to appear again.
Let us know what you find.
No problem, later....

Certailnly was a good try. I don't however have Comcast and saw nothing similar on add or remove programs. Thanks anyway
No luck with trying your Comcast solution. Any other ideas I might try?
To: tomj23. The message reads as follows.
Header:SdcSchedulerWindow. Ending Program Please Wait. If you choose to end the program immediatly you willlose any unsaved data. To end now click end now.
Thats all.
Thanks again for your help.
Whooops. Forgot to tell you when it occurs. I happens only on SHUTDOWN
Yes
I might add that I have recently installed wirelss and my server is new in this area. Its call HOTWIRE. They are (I think they said ) micro fibre for the Internet and Dish for the TV. If that makes sense or makes a diff.
Its a new building and I had no choice. Noone else has wired as yet.
Look, I really hate to be a pain in the ass and I do appreciate the time you have taken to help but it didn't work. listed were only two items that had the word scheduler in it. One read "Jusched" and the other "power reg scheduler". I unchecked both (one at a time) and neither worked after reboot etc. Once again a very big thanks for all your help.
