I am going round in circles on you query because of the model number, it really needs to be as written by the company 'LG BPD-135', but the results are not coming up as I would have expected. Try one of the battery buyer websites. You may get better results using the model number on the battery itself. Many are available for LG on eBay
find an old XP version and right click on exe then compatible , tick box then select xp service pack 2. them apply. run exe as admin it load in fine and as it should.

The problem is of battery itself. Not with the player. Some batteries will last long and some won't. Chage the battery. It has no ampere holding capcity now. OK.
The battery it is dead,even u plug the dvd player power in directly into the power source.Must have the battery inside and the must have some juiced left before for the dvd player to work.Tries websites like Partstore.com,Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy a new battery or a compatible one.
You might need to adjust the settings by pressing the LCD button then using the up/down/left/right arrows on the player or remote to change color or brightness. If this doesnt work, your screen might be shot. There isn't much you can do if thats the case.
Battery contacts can be improved with metal foils to pack out the chamber.
Make sure all contacts are clean- use a pencil eraser for bottom the the chamber.
Pack out top of batteries under the cover with foil- do not cross connect .
When closed press the cover with your fingers.
