Galaxy Note slow charge. Holds battery well though.

The phone holds its battery well under regular use, however when I connect it to the charger, the phone takes long to charge. I have to turn off the phone and let it charge over night so that the battery charges from 30% to 80%. Again under regular usage, the phone does hold the battery well its just the charging that is ridiculously slow. I have wiped the phone and cleared the cache and still find it to charge slowly. Is this a battery issue or a bad connection?

It looks like battery is damaged... When plugged in to charger phone shouldn't power on. Try put it on charger when on and see if charging icon appear. (top right corner-battery status icon should change -insted of battery to charging.) Battery is fully charged after cca 4 hours, 80% after 2 hours.

SOURCE: My camera won't turn on and the lens is stuck out

If the lens is stuck out then you will find it is usually one of a few reasons.

1. Check the
batteries. (obvious I know).
2. The
camera has been dropped or knocked.
3. The camera has grit or dirt in the lens mechanism.

Providing the batteries are ok then 2 and 3 usually mean a professional repair. The lenses tend not to be something that the average
home user can remove and take apart. The cost of repair also might be more than the camera value so you will need to find a good repair shop near you and get a quote.

How do I fix my samsung from slow charging

Before you try any of the steps / Methods provided below try this: Turn OFF power saving mode when charging. This is not mentioned anywhere online or in the user manual but works like a magic to resolve slow charging issues. If you still face the issue try various solutions here under.
________________________ Solutions for Slow Charging Problem on SamsungGalaxy S3 Method 1-System Dump System mode is a debugging panel where you can test, debug and execute different functions. There are also useful functions to give a boost to your network speed
>Open Up Dialer
>Dial *#9900#
>Scroll down, and Click "Low Battery Dump"
>Tap to Turn On
Method 2 Sometime slow charging issue on android devices occurs because of some software. So uninstall theunwanted software from your phone and then see if the problem is resolved or not. Another thing youcan do is master reset.
To master reset your phone, the steps you need to perform are Cache partition, Master reset and Safemode.
Cache partition- When you are facing slow charging issue on your Samsung Galaxy S3 you need to clearthe cache partition. It will clear different parts of your phone storage but will not delete any personaldata. To clean cache partition, turn off your phone and press the home key, power key and volume upkey altogether. When the phone starts vibrating, release the power key but keep holding volume up andhome keys. When you see the Android System Recovery screen, release both the keys. Now forhighlighting "wipe cache partition" press the volume down key. Select the option by holding power keyand wipe the cache. Highlight "Reboot system now" and press power key to restart the phone.
Method 3 Master Reset from Setting Menu- Master Reset may delete data from your phone's internal storage suchas images, content, apps, etc. But the data on SD or SIM remains saved. Back up all the data on internalstorage.
Then Tap the menu key> Settings> Accounts> Back Up and Reset> if desired, tap Automatic restore andBack up my data > Factory data reset> Reset device. If the screen is locked, then enter password and tapContinue> Delete all.
Safe Mode- Safe mode allows you to turn on your Samsung Galaxy S3 by disabling the third party apps. Then you can uninstall the apps that may be creating the Slow Charging Problem. To turn on the safe mode turn off your phone, then hold the power key. When you see "Samsung GalaxyIII" on the screen, release the power key and hold the volume down key.Keep on holding the key untilthe phone restarts. At the bottom corner of the screen, "safe mode" will appear and now release thekey.
Then uninstall the third party apps by going Menu> Settings> More> Application managers,Downloaded> tap the preferred application, then tap uninstall> Ok.
Then turn off safe mode by pressing and holding the power key> restart> Ok.
Method 4 Download and Install Greenify
Greenify is battery saving app that works best with battery boaster lite. Greenify places your appsin hibernation when not in used, this stop your phone from lagging and leeching the battery.
The Battery Boaster Lite is a power battery tuner application. It gives you full control of your battery andCpu. This app shows what is draining your battery and how to fix it.
Method 5 Sometimes slow charging problem occurs because of the apps that keep running in the background. So,though you charge the phone for hours after hours, it shows only 35% or less charge in the battery. Toclose those apps:
> Hold the home button and release it when you see the recently used apps screen.
> At the bottom, you will find the task manager button. Tap on it, then touch End all applications.
> At the top, you will find an option RAM, tap on it and clear memory.
These steps will close all the apps that are running in the background when the phone is charging, andthis is why it is slowing down the charging process.
Method 6 - Fix slow charging on android - Re-calibrate

How to Re-calibrating your android?

Remove the Battery from your Android
  1. Plug in original charger into your android without the battery inserted, VIA Power Supply .
  2. Leave it there plugged in for 30 Mins.
  3. After, insert the battery without removing the charger
  4. Let it charge to 100%
  5. When the battery is fully charged. Remove the charger
  6. Let your phone drains to 0%(Discharge) ( Do intensive CPU usage tasks, Playing games, streaming videos etc.)
  7. Repeat these step twice.
  8. The battery will subsequently receives it's charging cycle.
  9. By performing this every 3 times in per 6 months will keep your battery in good standing.

How do I get a replacement charger?

Good morning Shirley.

If you go onto eBay and type in your phones make and model (i.e. iPhone 5, Galaxy 4, Blackberry 9000, etc, you'll most likely see more offers than you can shake a stick at.

That said, if the charger won't charge the phone, unless you have tested the charger, the culprit is just as likely to be the battery in your phone. If you've had the phone over a year and faithfully charge it once or twice a day as opportunity arises, the many cycles on the battery will wear it out. Story of basically every phone I've ever owned, and I got good at cracking phones to replace batteries. Granted, some phones like many of the Droid phones have removable batteries. if that is the case, consider getting a replacement battery. if it was the battery, you'll likely be shocked at how much happier your phone is, and how long it suddenly holds a charge.

Good Luck

Why is my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" charging very slow.

There are a several reasons why the Galaxy Note 10.1 is not charging as much.
1. Too many application are turned on (check the task manager)
2. Too many notifications icon are turned on ( bluetooth, gps, wifi, etc.)
3. Plugging your charger using a computer

Are you using the original charger and plugging it into a wall charger?

How long did you use the Note 10.1 previous to noticing the damage? and was it extremely hot at the back?

If so, then maybe the battery isn't picking up from the charger. I've watched back to back movies while still using the charger but this can prove very devastating on the charger's outlet which became extremely hot after 4-5 hours or so of charging continuously. It turns out, the galaxy note 10.1 can withstand 8+ hours of ongoing movies but the charger outlet cannot. *If I didn't unplug it after 4-5 hours, the plug what have fried.

In this case, i believe the charger is more likely damaged than the Galaxy Note 10.1, which is more of a better scenario. Especially, since you charged it for over 24 hours, meaning it's charging something, but very slowly. Operating Galaxy Note while charging can prove detrimental in the charger's outlet and can in fact burn out.

I hope this info is helful,

My galaxy 3 phone will not charge properly how do i fix it

Charging issues is a process of elimination. First the charger....many chargers will fit but not all that fit will work. A bluetooth charger will fit but would never charge your battery completely. Make sure you are using a proper charger. 2nd is the charging port on the phone. If the charger is loose it could be a bad port or the prongs on the charger are not holding....is it loose? Or if there is corrosion on the port. If corrosion, clean with alcohol and tooth brush. 3rd is the battery. If its swollen, then it's toast. A li-on battery will start to decrease after 400 to 500 charges.

My battery isnt charging even though it says it is.

Try a different cable and a different charger if you have them. Also try just connecting it to a PC's USB port. Of course, the PC has to be turned on. Even though it will say that it isn't charging, it will charge very slowly this way as long as you're not using the Galaxy Note the whole time. So try that over night.

If none of those work, then you may have a bad battery in your Galaxy Note. How old is it? If it is still under warranty, you may be able to get it repaired for free.

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.

Why will the battery not charge?

If your battery will not charge, you need to run a test on some components on the laptop. The battery, the charger and the laptop itself. Once you detect the faulty conponent then you replace it with a new one.

To test the battery:
1.Power off the laptop,
2.Take out the battery,
3.Insert it in another laptop,
4.Check of it will charge,

If the battery holds a charge there, then it means the problem is not from the battery, but if it does not hold a charge, then it means the battery is defective and need to be replaced with a new one.

To test the charger:
1.Unplug the charger from the present laptop,
2.Connect it to another laptop to see if it will charge.

If it charges the laptop, then it means the charger is alright, and if it does not charge the laptop, then it means the charger is bad and need to be replaced.

To test the laptop:
1.Turn off the laptop,
2.Disconnect your present charger,
3.Remove your present battery pack,
4.Insert a well tested battery into the laptop,
5.Connect a well tested charger to the laptop.

If it powers on, then it and charges, then it means the laptop is working fine, but if it does not charge, then it means the connection port of the laptop is bad.Hope this information was helpful.

My old 611 dosent hold the battery charge for long even though I have put in a new battery

An in car charger will not charge as well as the mains, when charging for the first time you should use the mains, and charge for at least 8 hours. If it didn't charge correctly, it will be the same low charge all the time, as the battery has a memory that makes it charge the same each time. Try charging from the mains, you might be lucky.
