I put a slide show together and it previews great! When I try to record it to burn it to a dvd it plays the whole thing and says it is recording but there is nothing recorded when I play the recording. HELP
My recording keeps tripling in size then the play back is slow and extended . recording shows 9 minutes then once i hit finsih it shows 27 minutes
That is not a solution Smilebox. The problem (that I'm having too) is that it won't record the slideshow prior to burning the DVD.
Definitely won't be using this program again!
SOURCE: Smilebox DVD will not play in DVD player
We are sorry, but a DVD burned on a computer will not play on every DVD player.
We would suggest that you try a different DVD player.

I am having the same issue. I am not even trying to download to a DVD, but just to save to a video file. It creates the file, but there is no real content. Even before that step, once it finishes recording (appears to successfully record the 45 seconds I want), if you "preview recording" it is blank. So I think the issue is happening before the burn of the dvd.
I am having the same issue. And it's NOT the DVD player. I can't even get to that point. It says that it's recording, goes thru the whole process, and then throws out an error. It worked fine on my old computer, and now I'm having issues with it burning to a dvd with my new computer. The person I purchased the computer from says he thinks it's a driver issue - and is waiting to hear back from smilebox for a solution. Pretty frustrating when you spend WEEKS putting a slideshow together for your Dad's 90th birthday and the only thing you can do is play it on your computer. Can't even burn the DVD for him to play on his own computer or DVD player.
I agree, what the heck is going on smilebox??? I remember when you used to be so much better!
Same problem here. It says it is recording just fine, but when burned to DVD it has NO SOUND. I tried numberous times. I also found that you can check after you record, do a "prieview" recording. And if there is a problem it will show up there. I sent the problem to smilebox and they said it was the 11.7 version of "flashplayer". They said to uninstall it and install version 11.6. I checked and I am running 11.6.602.180, so it isn't that. This started a few months ago. At this point, I either want a "real" fix from them or a refund. I think everyone who has this problem should ask for a refund. They are just saying it isn't their problem, but I would bet it is their update and they don't know how to fix it. I have it on 2 different computers. One has Windows 7 and the other has Windows XP. I have two DVD burners on each computer, so that is four DVD burners. It is obvious that it is not any of those things. If anyone finds a solution, Please post it here.
