I have a Whirlpool LGR4634JQ2 gas dryer. When my dryer is set on the Autodry cycle, it never stops even though the clothes are dry. It will stop if set on the timed dry cycle. We have changed out the timer, but it has not fixed the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.... Thanks!
Hi,
If you are having problems with your
gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor
goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working
properly.
if
you dryer is gas check out this gas
no heat
tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can
have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to
heat.
check
out this electric

First try cleaning the moisture sensors with rubbing alcohol,
these are two silver colored strips located inside the drier just below the
lint cleanout

Thanks Repman1. I really appreciate it!!!!
I have the same problem...replaced both thermostats, one with 2 terminals and one with 4 terminals. It still doesnt shut off from the Auto setting. Replaced the timer, and the flame sensor also and still same problem. Used a shop vac and cleaned out the lint from the back of the unit, as well as the venting line. There is no moisture sensor on my model, Whirlpool Gas Dryer LGR5636eq2.
