SOURCE: Fossil watch battery

It is a 364 battery. You can order these online from many battery outlets, even ebay.If your watch is 5ATM or more, it has a pressure seal, and you might want to send it to the Fossil service centre to have it changed and resealed.

SOURCE: new fossil watch

It is not likely that there is a protective cover over the battery itself, if there is anything on it to prevent use while not owned it is a little pc of plastic holding the stem out. It is sad to say but there is no way to tell how long the watch had the current battery in it before you received it. It is common to get a new watch and have the battery die shortly after or be already dead. Go to a local jewelry store to have replaced, make sure they are able to test the old one FIRST, if the battery is dead, allow them to replace it, if the battery is fine, return the watch to Amazon.

SOURCE: Trouble sizing Fossil Watch CH-2506

Those arrows inside of the watch band are showing direction for pins or clips to come out. If you have two arrows in opposite directions on one link, that means there are two pins or clips and each one must be extracted from arrow pointing side.
If there is only one arrow on the link- there is only one clip or pin and must be extracted the arrow pointing way.
Some watch bands are held together by very specificly made clips or pins. In this case you will need a special tool to extract them.

SOURCE: Is there a easier way to change the month dial on a fossil

When you pull out crown, there is two positions (clicks), not just one. First click is for day/date quick setting. Second click is for hand setting. Pull the crown out slowly and carefully and you will soon find out both positions.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR FOSSIL CH2698

See https://www.fossil.com/content/dam/fossil/PDF/watchinstructions/Fossil_Watch_Instructions_EN_US.pdf

The file is a compendium of instructions for a large number of Fossil movements, but it is unclertain which movements the model CH-2331 and CH-2698 watches use. However, movement OS10 (page 15) appears to be the only one that matches the dial layout, button layout and also has a date window as the CH-2331. The watch has a quartz analog mechanism and uses one SR927W 1.55-volt silver oxide button cell. Silver oxide cells have low current output, but very long shelf life, so if the stem is pulled out completely when the watch isn't being worn, the battery could last many years. Scan the instructions to match up the CH-2698 with a movement number. A good guess from examining photos of the face of a CH-2698 watch would be movements OS20 / FS00 or VD53.

What is the battery number for a fossil am3848

Hello,
We can tell you the battery number you may need for your Fossil Watch, but it is not worth you to change it yourself.
Many people think that replacing a battery to a watch is an easy task, but that is far from truth.
Note that once a watch is opened ( if you can get it without leaving marks all around the case) all circuits are extremely delicate. If you may touch some part with any metal instrument or even with your fingers, you will loose your watch.

Best you can do is take it to be replaced to a watch shop, sure you have one near you.

But let me insist, if you need the battery number, let us know and we will provide.
