Download the user manual to your TV. It will have all details about how to reset it to factory default. A factory default set should be done now. To download its user manual, click here.

SOURCE: WONT TURN ON

Most likely, the problem is a defective Main Processor Board. This is the board with the antenna, RCA and HDMI plugs. You cant repair or replace component parts on this board, so dont even try. You must replace the complete board. The TV says Sylvania, but it is a bloody Funia TV. Several years ago this foreign company bought out broke-azzz Sylvania . They are still carrying the Sylvania name since Sylvania was a popular TV name in the 70s. Every electronic company in the USA is now owned by the Chinese, so call Funai and order the part from them. Dont be surprise if they dont have a clue what the heck you asking for. America and all electronics have gone to the puddles. Do you know why? GREED.

SOURCE: tv tuned off and now red and green light just

It's the #1 plaguing issue with flat panel TV made by funai corp. Sylvania is one of those TV made by them.
Normally, when this happens, the TV goes into " Protection Mode " because of a failing circuit board. Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out on flat panel TVs is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom.
You have a few choices:

1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.
2. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.

3. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.

4. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

No blue green yellow like in football peach color flags thrown peach color grass is blue green purple color is black etc etc

Are you using a component video connection (3 wires for the video, colored red, green, and blue)? It sounds as though you are, but correct me if you are using a different connection as the steps will be different. If so, ensure that they are all connected. You can also unplug one at a time while watching the picture. If the colors DON'T change when unplugging any individual wire, then check that wire from end to end looking for cuts/corrosion/etc... If necessary, replace the cable. Also make sure that they're plugged in to the right jacks, they should be color coded. NOTE: there is a red jack for the video AND for the audio. Check carefully that these aren't mixed up.

How to you conect a kawasaki dvd to a hd tv

The best connection the kawasaki dvd has is a Component connection. This connection separates the Red, Green and Blue colour signals. Your HD TV should have a component input, just look for Red, Green and Blue RCA inputs labelled "Pr", "Pb", and "Y".
You don't need the red, green, and blue colored RCA's specifically for this type of connection. The colors are there to help make it easier to connect. You can use any coloured RCA as long as you have the Pr on the DVD connected to the Pr on the TV and likewise for the other two connections.
In addition to these connections you will need two more RCA's (Red and White) for the audio signal. You will need to connect the audio output of the DVD, to the audio input corresponding to the same Component Video input you are using for Video. This should be fairly self explanatory when looking at the DVD's and TV's connections at the back.

Dvd, sound, no picture

If your DVD is external, I'd check TVs input settings: if your DVD on "progressive scan" mode, it delivers video signal via "component" connections: green, blue, red plus 2 separate red/white for the sound. If you trying to use 3 wires: yellow, red, white( composite), good chance, that the only sound is delivered. Try to switch DVD off 'progressive", if you only have 3 wires. It will deliver "picture". Or, verso-visa: using "component", 5 wires, but DVD set off "progressive scan". I've seen that confusion many times! Unless you have 'built in" DVD player. no matter what, it's must be broken! Use external DVD player, instead! $30 and trip to the store, will solve your problem. Don't want to fix TV, if everything else is alright. Myself, I never liked those "combo" units. You got stuck with mediocre TV and lousy DVD player. Better: separate them!
Good luck,
Alex.

I don't know how to successfully connect a JVC AV-27220 (a television) to HR-XVC29SU (a DVD player). I have a set of blue/red/green cables, but the colors don't match the markings on the devices....

The standard colors are : White, Yellow and Red. If you match the Red of the TV, the White of the TV and the Yellow of the TV to the same colors on the DVD player, then all should work properly. It does not matter what color the cable is, match color for color on the devices. Hope this helps and good luck from a teacher to another teacher.

I am trying to get my combo player hooked up to my tv. I don't have the manual. I just want to be able to watch DVD's and VHS tapes.

Check the type of connections on your combo player and TV, there are likely two options for connection:
1st option = AV: 3 RCA connections (yellow, red, white)
2nd option = COMPONENT: 5 RCA connections (red, green, blue, red, white)
Get the appropriate cable and connect it to the available input on your TV. Unless you have an ancient TV from a few decades ago, it should at least have AV connection.

The DP26649 model TV has three inputs; video one (which is fine and has all color and everything), video 2 (if you plug them in certain ones the best i can get is full sound and all but its black and...

OK, here is the breakdown on whet you are doing wrong.

Video 1 - Composite -
Video - Yellow
White - Audio In - Right
Red - Audio in - Left

Video 2 - Components - HD - RGB = Red, Green, Blue
Video -
Red - Red Colors
Green - Green Colors
Blue - Blue Colors
White - Audio In - Right
Red - Audio in - Left

Your GameCube will only work on Video 1, unless you buy an HD (Component cable). You will need to buy HD cables for your device connected to Video 1 to work on video 2. I will assume it is a DVD player. This is a high definition cable to produce a better picture. Let me know if you do not completely understand

Hi,
I think DVD player is hooked with TV via component video input.

Check component video connections and make sure each color wire connect in same correspondence color in both units, TV and DVD Player.

Red to red, green to green and blue to blue.
