Periodic Antenna Failure message

On my daily commute I get the "antenna failure" message in approximately the same place each day.  It lasts for several miles but not always in the exact spot, it will come back on.  Is it the antenna or a signal problem?  What do I do to correct this most annoying problem? I have am XM satelite reciever in my other car and never get a signal interruption during the same commute

SOURCE: my sirius reciever in my boat worked fine until

Oxidation from humidity could have tarnished a connector somewhere. Make sure all connectors are clean and shiny first. It could be that the receiver is bad. A stereo shop should be able to check that for you easily.

Power Antenna will not go up but motor is running.

The plastic or cable inside the mast is broken. You can either buy a rebuild kit or buy a whole new power antenna

Failure the connectivity

Check that your USB connection is not loose, and if still having connection dropping, try a new or different USB cord.
Last solution: re-install the drivers.
Attention! this is a 32-bit driver, and it will NOT work with 64 bits OS (Win 8 and above, Mac OS X Lion and above)
The UBDo-gt8 has an Realtek RTL8187L chipset, and it is an excellent one,

Receive "Antenna Fail" on receiver

Same problem on my CX-7. I've had antenna replaced one so far. It takes about 30 minutes in the cold (usually on at night on my commute home) to get signal. I agree, during the summer months, everything works fine.

Recently installed two Philco TB100HH9 Converter boxes. Both worked well at first then both lost a major local TV station within days and cannot reprogram it into the box. Have two other TV's without a...

I just had a similar problem with this box - For the first month or two, I got the local NBC affiliate (KING-5 in Seattle) just fine on 5.1, then, after fiddling with my antenna setup, I lost it completely - NOTHING I could do would get it back. I tried a bunch of stuff - Multiple types of antenna, adding an antenna amp box, a handful of "homebrew" antennas - Nada. Yet all my other channels came in fine (although a couple were right on the edge - This box seems to need a "17" or higher on the signal strength - Some of my channels were reading in the 15-18 range, and suffering the "blockies" and sound dropout)

After hitting TVfool.com, found out that the KING digital signal is actually broadcasting on channel 48. Punched in 48.1, and there it was, clear as a bell, using nothing but a "wick" antenna (Basically, strip 4-1/4 inches of the outer braid off one end of a piece of co-ax cable, leaving the center wire alone, then plug the other end into the box) getting me a 23 signal strength. But a second or two later, the box is displaying "5.1" - Weirdness...

Reconnected a near top-of-the-line Winegard Yagi/Log-periodic antenna - VERY directional, and has some gain all by itself - and the signal jumped above 50.

Still couldn't "channel-up/channel-down" or punch in "5.1" to tune it, though - Channel 5.x was a "dead zone" as far as the box was concerned.

Re-did the "autoscan", and now, it's back to normal - I can channel-up/channel-down to it at 5.1, or I can punch it in as 5.1, or I can punch it in as 48.1, and it's all good.

So, try re-doing the auto-scan. Worked for me...

I have a 520c gps and fish finder, got it last summer, only been used about 7 times between last year and this year. Now all of a sudden the gps, doesn't show any satilites except one, and it won't lock on...

The problem is most likely in the antenna.

Have you installed a RADAR? The GPS will not acquie a saellite unless it is above or below the bea emitted from the RADAR.

The easiest thing to check is corrosion on the plug where it attaches to GPS.

Look at tour satellite status page. Is WAAS turned on or off? If it is on try turning it off and see if that makes a difference. If the GPS acquires with WAAS turned off, you probably need a software update.

Next follow the antenna wire to the antenna and look for any signs of damage, particularly where any new accessories have been installed. It is also a common point of failure if the cable is stressed near where it enters the antenna.

You may be able to convince your friendly local marine retailer such as West, Cabala, or Boater's World to let you buy an antenna for test purposes and then return it when you are done. You don't have to snake wires all over the boat, simply place the antenna somewhere where it has a clear view of the sky and plug it in.

If the antenna is not the culprit your next step would be to check your software version which appears when you start up the display. If it is not version 2.3.0, get a blank MMC card and download a software update from Lowrance at this link:
SOFTWARE VERSION 2.3.0

It should include intructions on how to install the update.

If that fails, your only option left is to box up the display and antenna and send it out for service.

Roady XT periodic errors

The pins get easily damaged when switching from the car dock to the Belkin boom box. I have to constintly squeeze very ******* the top of the xt in order for it to make contact. Belkin will send you a plastic alignment fixture but it is too late. It still does the same thing.
