Maytag washer is sometimes out of balance and clothes are sopping wet when spin cycle ends. Washer is balanced on the floor.

1ST thing put less clothes in washer each time

second ck to see that drain hose is not obstructed from draining out the chamber , ive seen fabric lint get stuck inside the drain valves and slow and eventually block them off

last thing to look at
temp defeat the lid lock switch and or watch it spin thru window , your looking for the speed it spins at (should be a blur !!) , if its slow and not steady in rate but instead sort of gets slow/fast/slow/fast this could be an indication that your tub drive system isn't working well , this depends on a large bit of things working properly , but could be as simple as a worn out drive belt too.

Turntable running slow

Hi Ken,

it is a Technics Frequency Generator Servo (Belt drive SL-23). I have four different belts and neither one of them works. Two are too slow and one is too fast and the other one is slow and fast.

I changed the belt before that I got off of an old turn table. It deteriorated.

I would appreciate any help.

So far I am also having Gateway Monitor problems and Canon Mp560 printer problems

Thank you,.

It plays records a liiiittle bit too fast. How do I fix that?

my 1960's solution was to Put a few pennies on record , and the real cause is your drive belt may be too tight.

Riding mower goes slow in forward speed

There is a variable speed pulley that is a double pulley....one belt from engine to pulley and one from pulley to transaxle....remove both belts...pushing in the clutch will help with removal....remove o ring on top of pulley and pull up......the middle piece of metal is stuck....this piece is meant to slide up and down.....put the middle piece of metal on your pulley in your vice...wd40 the hell out of the shaft on pulley .....grasp the top with one hand and the bottom with your other hand...work the stuck pulley free.....put lithium grease on shaft...reinstall....done

I have a Denon 300f that works fine but run a bit fast so the music sounds really off...anything I can do to slow it down?

I was putting the belt around the wrong part...it needed to go on the bottom of the turntable itself then be attached to the belt drive.

Maytag performa washer

Hi Folks,

I'm guessing both of these problems are related to the belt slipping. There are several points to check.
  1. the belt tension. I'm not familiar with the exact details of your machines, but the usually have a an extra pulley with a spring attached to give the belt tension. Alternatively, the motor is mounted on a movable frame that is held by some springs. These springs give the belt tension. In either case check the freedom of movement of the tensioning arrangement and the springs are providing the necessary tension to the belt.
  2. Glazed belt/pulley - if the belt has been slipping it will polish the pulleys and this will reduce the friction necessary to drive the machine. To fix this the belt should be replaced and the pulley surfaces roughed up with some wet/dry emery paper (not too rough or it will wear your new belt out).
  3. Belt is too old - the rubber becomes hard and brittle and ends up with the same effect as Glazed belt/pulley above. The fix is as per 2 above.
Good luck
