Cannot remove write protection on sandisk cruzer usb pen.

To remove write protection:

• Open Start Menu >> Run, type regedit and press Enter. This will open the registry editor.
• Navigate to the following path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

• Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0
• In the Data Value Box, press OK
• Exit Registry, restart your computer and then re-connect your USB pen drive to your computer.

To remove write protection:

Did the files come from another PC / user. If so, Win 7might require you take ownership. Right click > Security. Also some Micro SD cards attach to a regular SD adapter and that has a write protect small dip switch. Try that.

are you refering to a Zip drive? or a USB pendrive? if it's a pen drive there are several softwares in the market

try removing off the launchpad program from the pen drive through an XP system with this software and then try inserting it on the vista as an ordinary pen drive.
