Those generators are set up with a low oil saftey but your gonna want to check compression anyways just to verify it is where it needs to be. Im gonna guess its to be between 120-160 psi, check your manual for the service limits. after that check your air filter, valve lash, fuel filter etc etc.
is there an actual spark if there is there cant be anyfuel getting in is the fuel on is fuel coming out the inlet pipe if not must be blockage any way mate i need more info to answer get back to me mate
you should have a drain plug at the side and bottom of the motor crank case its a small plug with a square head how old is your generator if new put 10w30 oil if old put sae30w if really bad add some lucas oil treatment also now a 9 h.p. should take less then 2 quarts
There are two 14mm bolts on both sides (lower) of the motor. Unscrew one or both and drain the oil....Replace with sae 30 or 10w30 oil and should take almost a quart. (Put the bolts back in and tork slightly.) Check oil level.
You need a quart of regular old SAE 5W30 motor oil with detergent. The engines on these generators are more or less the same as a lawn mower. Don't forget to service/change the air cleaner when you change the oil, that should keep your generator producing full power.
