The heat you are feeling is from infrared photons. The type of photons that damages skin is mainly ultraviolet photons, which are much higher in energy than that of IR photons. Your skin may become pink from the heat but actual damage is unlikely at such lower energy for IR photons. In other words, you are not going to get a suntan. dont worry about it.

Are tanning beds bad for your skin? I have heard about the cancer fears but what about premature aging etc?

Ultra violet radiation (from either the sun or from tanning beds) can cause skin cell damage. That damage can lead to premature aging such as; wrinkles, brown spots, lax skin etc. Tanning salons may tell you otherwise but tanning beds really can mess up your skin.

Can eyes be damaged by over exposure to sun UV rays?

: Yes. People are very aware of the danger of UV rays on our skin etc but not everyone realizes that our eyes are also at risk. If your eyes are overexposed to sun rays, you might get a condition called photokeratitis. It's a bit like sunburn of the eye and can cause:

- Red eyes

- Gritty feeling in the eyes

- Extreme sensitivity to light

- Rarely - long term damage

I have noticed that a rash is starting on my face, what could be the reason?

Rashes can be caused by allergic reactions to the skin or the shaving products you are using. If you believe this to be the case, try unscented products or products designed specifically for sensitive skin.

I have using eterna 27 since I was 19 years old and am now 45, in the last year using the night creme I am waking up with my face bright red like a chemical burn. I stopped using it for a while and then...

hormones change as you get older and also your skin can become sensitized (particularly due to sundamage, collagen breakdown, skin thinning etc.) I would say stop using the product as irritating your skin further will cause more damage. Start taking vitamins such as vitamin C, Omega 3 and a multivitamin (also go to www.advancednutritionprogramme.com and find 'skin vitality collagen support' or 'skin defense' they have a whole range of vitamins that support the skin). You can also start using a facial oil such as la sultan **** pear oil which will help to heal your skin as well. I hope this helps.

Does this soothe redness of acne ?

It tends to make it worse because it provides a bit more oil that your acne will soak up like a sponge. I suggest trying a baking powder paste or toothpaste-like actual paste. This will help reduce redness and pimple size.

Hello, i just turned 29 recently. I have a beautiful facial skin except that i have some ane on my chin and a little rosacea on my cheeks. However, im afraid from very little aging stretches that start to...

If your dermatologist recommended it, I would go ahead and use it. I've used many serums recommended by my dermatologist. The main cause of aging and lines around your face is being in the sun. Also, living a healthy lifestyle contributes to healthy skin. If you stop the serum, just wait to see what the effect is on your face. I don't think it's to early for you to be proactive against aging skin.
