Do not put another fuse because there is a shorted in either the power supply circuit or the horizontal deflection circuit. in power supply try to check the rectifier, filter capacitor, or the regulator ic/transistor. in horizontal, try to check the horizontal driver/ output transistor or the flyback transformer. good luck! but if u dont know anything about this much better to bring it to a qualified service technician. good luck!

ECI Fuse keeps blowing

What ever was blowing the fuse intermittently now has a full blow dead short. Trace it through to the unit and check for connections shorting out or the unit itself shorting out.

Keep blowing the main fuse.

To which circuit section did you replaced the fuse? Main power retulator? Just understand, the fuses are used to protect the circuit and TV from any short circuit or over voltage. Without any one of these, no fuse will blow up. If it was due to over voltage, the set should work after a fuse replacement. But here, the fuse blow up again, means, there is some thing shorted component/s. Check which component is shorted, and replace it, before replacing an other fuse. One more thing to say is, never insert a fuse other than specified. The voltage and ampere specification to fuse, will be marked at the circuit board, very near to the fuse clamp. Insert a fuse of same rating only. Using other fuse, rated higher ampere rating, might make things worse.

Alero fuse 46 keeps blowing

I have seen this before were the 46 fuse keeps blowing and it is usually after somone has had the radio and heater control out. There should be 2 wire harnesses that plug into the back of the heater control but the 1 will fit the extra plug on the back of the radio and the customer had the heater harness pluged into the radio. Radio worked fine but the rear defogger and a few other heater controls did not and it would blow the 46 fuse as soon as the key is turned on,.

I have a 1994 Dodge Intrepid with a 3.5.The 20 amp engine control fuse keeps blowing. We have replaced the starter and the fuel pump. This did not solve the problem. When the fuse blows the engine will still...

The fuse that keeps blowing is related to your ignition. Get the faults read at a shop and find what is triggering fault and that will lead you to your problem. It's a whole lot easier than throwing parts at it, and cheaper.

What is rating of fuse in your TV like amperes and volts.
There is Thermistor in TV for degaussing the picture tube while in start up. This part requires heavy current to work for a second or two.
You can increase little bit current rating of fuse to avoid blow off.

Magnavox TV won't turn on

There is a capacitor on the main board the goes leaky and will prevent the tv from turning on. If you know how, you can check the caps near the flyback transformer and find the leaky cap if you are not a tech and don't have a ESR meter it is beter to have a trusted tech to do the repair. Depending on the shop cost should be around $79-$89 depending on if you take it in or have them do a home call.

Sylvania 6632 LG blows fuse when plugged in

I too had this problem. I read some posts on this site about how to repair it, and low behold, they worked! I took the back off of the TV, and the first thing I found was the fuse was blown. With my meter, I checked the first 1N5406 rectifier diode after the fuse, and found that it had shorted out. Then I had to learn to desolder the diode, which I learned about on Youtube. I bought a pair replacement diodes at Radioshack for $1.49 and four replacement 125 volt 4 amp fuses. The whole repair cost about $5.00 and a few hours about learning about electronics. The TV works great! Good times!

RCA 32V430T 32" won't turn on!

The fuse is inside the set and is probably ok, but check to be sure. If you have an ohm meter I would check the horizontal output transistor first. It is a big transistor on a heat sink next to the FBT. It has three pins, check the center pin to one of the others, if low the transistor and probably the FBT is bad.
