The Fabric Softener in my Washing Machine doesn't empty in to machine during the rinse cycle. It just stays in the cup.
My husband just fixed ours after not seeing a solution on any other site. He pulled out the dispensing unit and pulled off the blue plastic piece on the top of the fabric softener and bleaching section. He then ran warm/hot water (not boiling hot) through the holes where the fabric softener is suppose to flow through. This cleaned out excess fabric softener that had coagulated in the elbow and blocked the flow of softener to the unit.

came home after starting the washinf machine and it was totally dead. checked the breakers and they are on and ok, checked the outlet and it works , the door is locked and i can't get my clothes out the fabric softener never emptied, is there a reset button or something to get it going again

Water does not flow into the bleach/softener compartment when the machine is in the rinse cycle. The water runs into the ssoap compartment instead.

I put fabric softener in the machine, and it goes with the was but no effect on cloth or smell
