1) TEST THE outlet receptacle wall, and reset the c.breaker
2) test the power cord for open or break wires and replace.
3) test the c.breaker or blown fuse inside
4) Test the drive belt for break
5) Test the motor for faulty. see the diagram attached and proceed with logic sense. God bless you

The light turns on but not the vacum

Chanses are the motor is out or locked up with dust.
Try taping around the motor with a rubber mallet. Do not take it apart just turn it on and tap it. Hard as you dare without breaking it. Tap around the motor case. It may jar the carbon brushes lose.

Fuse auto shut off

Find the current rating for the vacuum cleaner motor (on a plate somewhere on the machine). Is it somewhat less than the breaker rating in the panel? If so, then either the motor is overloading the breaker due to bad bearings or a shorted winding in the motor or the breaker is failing. Check the current draw of the running motor with a clamp-on ammeter (a friend with one or an electrician). It should be close to the rating on the plate. If in excess, then the motor needs to be repaired or replaced. The motor normally works harder when it is pulling full vacuum--it speeds up if the air flow is plugged.

Rainbow will not come back on

Bad idea.... I think the foam got through the separator and into the fan system. When it dried it hardened and now it need to be taken apart and cleaned.

Turn it on for less than 1 sec and if you hear motor making humming sound - it is ALIVE and cleaning (maybe new fan blades too) may be all that it needs. If no sound at all it may be KAPUT. You must have smelled something burning when you turned on and it did not work.

for D4 and SE models - When cleaning I would recommend to replace bearings as they are not that expensive and if you took it apart - maybe a good idea to replace them. Also you probably will need a new gasket as when taking old one off (it is glued) it may rip apart.

For e-series - you will need a new HEPA filter.

Vacume cleaner

Check the hose and see if it has a clog, also the hose at the bottom. The filters may be clogged, make sure they are clean and that air flows thru them, if not then replace them.
