Grinder problem My 2-year-old Saeco Odea Giro Plus seems to have lost its grinder burrs over the weekend. The grinder motor still operates but merely splits beans in half - everything else was working properly before the"crack" sound of the grinder coming apart. The model number is SUP031OR, built in 4/2010 and purchased shortly thereafter. Is this something I can fix myself?

THanks, but the brew group and everything else in the unit is in good shape, including the grinder motor.

I spoke to a repair technician this morning who advised that they will replace the ceramic disks and burrs and that this is not something I should try myself. I will send it in for repairs.

SOURCE: Hi i have a grinder problem with my Saeco Odea Go

Try this remove all the beans using a vac cleaner, then turn to lowest-finest number, then remove screws on grinder lift chamber and turn knob to coarsest setting and reassemble and try machine, remember to adjust grind when machine is grinding.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Giro highlights the "!" light and wont spurt water.

Try this open the steam knob for about 5 seconds then turn it to the rest(off) position, make sure that it is in the off position.

SOURCE: Saeco Odea Giro - disassembly

Hope this can help:

I managed to take mine apart because I was having a lot of leaking steam from the steam wand (as posted earlier). I followed your instructions, and all worked very well. Just to prepare readers, this is what I found. The green seal on the steam end was torn, as previously described. I noticed it start to "drag" a bit during use (daily for the past year), and it must have stuck and torn over time. See photos. I replaced with a part from ACE, see photo. Be sure to lube before re-assembly. Hope the photos help!

Grinder does not stop grinding grinding

Unfortunately you must sent the machine to a service. Probably the transistor that drives grinder is damaged.

My Saeco Odea Go coffee machine grinder screw rotates with on beans but does not rotate when beans are added. Motor sounds like its working.

There are different possibilities for your problem. First the motor might be damaged and is more weak than before that is why is stop when it need to grind beans. In this case only with replacement motor can solve the problem.

Second probably due to long use of oily coffee or low quality coffee beans or other reason there are coffee grounded in the grinder that become like rubber and does not leave the new coffee to pass through grinding burrs. For this either you have to dismantle the whole grinder and its burrs and clean them with brush or you can use a new magic product that you can fin in eBay it can clean automatically the grinder in 30 second see it at the link

You can try the above fist and you may solve the problem in minutes if not then you can proceed with the replacement of the ginder burrs or motor.

I had a similar problem
Mine was caused by an "oily" type of coffee beans. Grind was accumulating in the grinder.

I did open the machine and cleaned the grinder physically. At least, try to remove all beans and sucked with a vacuum the interior of the grinder screw.

Good luck

Hi,
you need to change this part ,which is under the ceramic knife. You will have to open the coffee grinder and take out the knives and change the holder to the lower knife. That's your problem. This is the product code 149198350
