Volume Control? We have a BT Freestyle cordless phone which we bought minus an instruction manual. Our problem is that the volume is set so low that you can hardly hear the person on the other end! Does anyone have any idea how to increase the volume -not of the ringer but on the actual line. Thanks

on some phones the beep refers to a voice mail message that has been left on your answerphone which will be left at the BT server, you can dial 1571 to retrieve the message.
Other than that if you have re registered the phone correctly following the instructions on page 22 of the below manual, return the set as faulty.
