Hi; I hope you may help telling where the problem Might Be with my Over, Wirlpool Model Named "DesignerStyle" Only the top Burners and the Neon are working, In the Oven the Light and Burners don't work at all, also the Timer/ Clock is not showing anything. The Breaker and the Fuses have been changed. Any Idea ?
Most likely the control / clock has gone bad or possibly a burnt or loose wire connection

is it screwed all the way in??Using a meter test the bulb socket for power.If its showing no power check the light switch

A refrig cannot pull 40 amps in defrost , unless there is a direct short in the defrost system ( timer , heater , bimetal ) . I would use an extention cord ( for test purposes only ) , and try a different plug . Sounds like the circuit breaker is weak . In defrost , the MOST you should get , is 6 amps . This will not throw a 40 amp breaker . If you have an amp meter , remove the back refrig panel behind the refrig , and connect to one of the power cord lines (just not the green ground ) , turn into defrost and check the amps . This will tell you if short is in refrig , or weak breaker .

this is due to a short in the wiring most likely in the bulb socket you will have to take the entire light assembly down and trace back on each wire somewhere it is either pinched and hitting metal or there is a split in one of those wires that go to the light itself if you have any further questions message me back and please remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks again I await your reply Rick
p.s time to get out the ol multimeter and start doing some tests also check the end connector that plugs into the socket itself it is possible to still get voltage and have a split wire that is hitting off the inside of the cabinet in the ceiling area of the unit I await your reply Thanks again Rick
