Had the same humming noise from my Saniflow unit with no discharge, stripped it out and removed the top cover, inside found the the top of the motor had a screwdriver slot, so I turned the motor/impeller around and found with a little effort I could rotate it, the more I turned the easier it became, until it was spinning freely, so I reconnected, pushed the reset button and low and behold, the unit worked.
I concluded that due to lack of cleaning with a descaler, it had furred up.
So before you call out the service man give the unit a good clean out.

Is your Saniplus humming or motor spinning slow or not at all?
It is likely the internal motor control capacitor - It is the most common replacement part for these units and a fairly simple DIY although you will need rubber gloves and bleach.
I have posted repair instructions for the Saniplus here:

could be the thermal trip on the motor. Suggest you remove the lid and clean out any buildups inside. check for for a jam, around the blades like a tampon. Careful - they are very sharp!

Sounds like a restriction in the outlet pipe, the 2 galls from a flush are OK but the bath or shower is more, especiallly if you have flushed before you shower, try drain unblocking chemicals or flushing the outlet pipe with mains water from a hose
SOURCE: Saniplus- after flushing wc, motor continues to run and run.
climatizarea nu functioneaza in sensul ca nu am aer rece ci doar aer cald
SOURCE: Hi i have a saniplus macerator unit hums but
sounds like an obstructed unit - you would need to remove the impeller cover at the base to check the pump - i'm assuming youve already checked the blade unit at the top (be careful here - i use a screwdriver - not my finger) could be that a simple cleanup and acid descale would be all thats needed. try this first then start looking deeper.Humming indicates motor is ok - but dont let it run continuosly - you dont want to burn out a good motor.

Could be something stuck on the blade or the impeller. You can unplug the unit from the GFI, remove all the piping attached, remove the unit completely out the back of the toilet, pry open the lid with a flat head screwdriver, remove 2 screws in front and 1 at the back of the pump casing, then you will be able to remove the motor and pressure chamber out of the pump casing. Therefore you can put it on a work bench and inspect the blade and impeller for obstructions.
