Inspiron 1420 - I cant hear my own voice, but a guys voice.

My voice has dissappeared from my laptop. Everytime I record my own voice and hear it back its a guy's voice/someones else's voice, but who says exactly what I say. Even when I log on for chats online, everyone can hear someone else's voice, but not mine. I think this problem started after I started speech recognition on my laptop. I think speech recognition has had complete conrol over my voice. But I am not sure. What can I do to get my own voice back . Please help. Thanks a lot in advance.

Go to Speech Tool Bar, then Select "Speech Tools, then Speech dialogue box will open, Select tab "Speech Recognition".

Create a new Recognition Profile, then delete old profile

My daughter laptop inspiron 1520 cant connect to the internet , she updated the wireless driver and since then it wont work , uninstalled and install old driver , no matter what i try it will not work ....

Click start and type restore in the search box.
Select an earlier time to restore to, before the upgrade.
That should return the laptop to a point at which it works again.

Not to worry, it is a normal process when any laptop is started. It first check if it is connected to power and starts charging if connected to power.

As far as battery life status is good and fine, you can continue working on your laptop.

You will get a pop of notification when the battery life about to end, till then you can work with out any tension.

I have bought dell insprion 6400 and found out my sound recorder doesn't work, help! i can't record my voice in the computer, i can hear the sounds...

If your problem is the socket itself, you cant do anything else but to take it to a service center to check the socket, but make sure that your problem is not software.

After the system has boot up try performing system restore to a back date when it was working fine. To perform a system restore u need to goto start -- All Programs -- acessories -- system tools-- system restore. If the issue persists u need to reinstall the OS.

The fan could be faulty (ie stopped spinning) or the heatsing vents are clogged with dust.
Remove the fan and check/clean the vents/fan. If the fan is faulty replace it.
