Garmin Nuvi 755T-At approx 18 months old. It would randomly turn off (while driving). It would turn back on when power slider was moved to and held in the "on" position (regular start up). It did this for approx an hour. Then it turned off by itself and tried to restart by itself. Garmin comes on the screen, and every 8 seconds it flickers. It never goes past this point. Using the gargin usb cable and going to garmin, it always says "No garmin device connected". Obviously, it's stuck in power up cycle. Would changing the battery, or unplugging the battery help?? Btw, this happened just over a year ago. It's plugged in to the computer as i'm typing this and it's doing the exact same thing!! Garmin appears on the screen and every 8 secs, it flickers and just says garmin. Would love to have my garmin working again, but not sending it to garmin for $100 to get a refurb with 09 maps!!! Can hardly believe they don't put most current maps on the refurb!!! They make you pay for it . . . . ANY help greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
You can do two things.
First, plug the GPS in overnight in a regular USB charger. If the battery charges up, then the problem is with your Garmin vehicle cable.
