I turned on my DSi for the first time ever since its been lost, ( A year ago) and it's had a game inside it since its been lost. I turned it on to see that the game wouldn't show up on the menu. I've tried other games AND i've updated the system. Someone please help. I really need it.

You have to put the R4 v1.18 kernel on the memory card for it to work.

In the download section is the r4 manual follow that and you should be ok.

The DSi blocks all flashcards that were released before it. Your card is one of those blocked cards, so you can't do much except return that and buy a DSi-compatible cart online. As for the region, the DSi hasn't been hacked yet so region changing isn't possible at the moment.

Format the sd card, (copy any games and save files to your computer as a backup)
Copy the R4 software onto the sd card ,
