sounds like a vertical problem, usually you'll see one white line across the screen, but one I worked on would come on and the bottom half of the picture was gone and there were lines across the top of the screen.
If you know how to solder & can find the vertical output chip then you could try resoldering the pins. If this doesn't fix it then it needs new parts.
I have a Vizio, I am able to go menu>set-up>picture. In that mode I have vertical & horizontal adjustments that fix that problem. Maybe you have similar choices in your menu.
Thus meaning what display on the LCD is exactly what "enters" through the lens. Is this a hairline or thick line appearing on the LCD and does the same happen on the photos/pictures when they are downloaded on a PC? If so "something" could have infiltrated into/onto the camera lens....
My E550 started producing over exposed frames (everythings white except maybe across top) with lines.This just happens outside.On inside the pictures are great.
