My son has a xbox360 and were trying to get xbox live to connect and it wont we had it working just fine on his brothers hes not home so we hooked it up to the other xbox 360 and it wont connect

1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360.
2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

How should I hook up my xbox to the back of the television using the red, white, and yellow wires? It is hooked up but I am not getting any audio. Thank you.

First make sure your video cable is set to TV not HDTV

Then plug the 3 RCA cables into the color coded slots on the TV. Make sure you aren't using the red cable from the component RGB but are using the red cable for sound (next to the white one).

Then, if you still have no picture, start the console using the controllers Xbox button and hold "Y" and "RT" until the console restarts. this will reset the video settings on the 360 to default.

Follow this guide if you get confused:
http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/how-to/audio-video-devices/connect-xbox-360-console-tv.aspx

and for the video reset about halfway down the page:

Connection terminated for xbox 360 to windows media center

The only thing i can think of is that maybe the ports are wrong =S.
Try turning the firewall off just to see if it will work, go to Control Panel, Security then you get the option in a list to turn Windows Firewall Off. Prefrom thi sjust to see if it will work. PLEASE NOTE after turning the firewall off after you finish trying to connect with the xbox try turning it back on for teh computer safety.

Xbox 360

This problem occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a general hardware failure.

You can submit a console-repair request online at Xbox.com. However, before you submit your request, first try the following steps to verify the problem:
  1. Turn the console off and on. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Turn off the console.
    2. Disconnect all the cables.
    3. Reconnect all the cables.
    4. Turn the console back on.
  2. Turn the console off and on without accessories. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Turn off the console.
    2. Disconnect any accessories that are connected. For example, disconnect all Xbox 360 controllers, all Xbox 360 Memory Units, and the Xbox 360 Hard Drive.
    3. When the accessories are disconnected, restart the console to determine whether the console or an accessory is experiencing the problem.

Xbox live

well if you have wireless in your house hold you can or have to get the xbox 360 wireless which cost 100.00 at wal-mart. if you have a router that you can hook up a lan ethernet jack from the router to the back of the 360 that is your better bet. you wont have to worry about getting disconnected or anything like that.

i would sueest buying a 100 foot eithernet cable. this dont run cheap. at staples you looking at 40.00 or so, you can get one on ebay for abour 15 and that cover shipping.

with the 100foot you dont have to worry about were you have to put your 360.
