F11 eror is a serial coommunication error check the harness wirinbg tio the motor and cpu unit

I took the advice from someone that posted on this site about taking the top off and by taking the ccu unit and popping it loose from how it is held to the washer. This process is very simple to do. Once you have it loose, take some large rubberbands or small bunge cords and hang the ccu unit from these. It sounds crazy but we were getting the F11/DL code on every wash and now we have done several loads and not one error code. The best thing is we didnt spend any money to fix the problem.

I have the same problem and Sears phone assistance is a joke. Would never buy this machine again.
i have the same damn problem i bought this washer off craigslist and what a rip off! NO WONDER the BITC* was selling it. I'm going to try and replace the switch & see if that helps if I can get one more year out of this machine I'll be happy! Thx equakeman for your solution!
I have the same problem. I've now unplugged the washer after each time I use it (unplug about 20 minutes between washes) and I haven't had the problem anymore. Don't know why this works but... :)
I have the exact same problem. I have paid for an assistance call from this organization. Let's see how it goes.
I have the same exact problem as Happymail, I keep getting the door lock error and F11 (which i have read means power failure) and the clicking noise .$800 in just the last 6 months to get this washer working to no avail. Just had the lock fixed again last week for $145 and it won't work again. I bought this machine brand new from Sears 3 years ago. The are a joke and so are all of their appliances which we bought many at the same time as the washer.
I have had my washer for almost 5 years. Its worked fine till 6 months ago. f11 code all the time several restarts to finish load. I did purchase the 5 year warranty, and sears has been out 3 times in the last 5 months. They never fixed the problem. Every time they came out the said there was a loose plug at best, tested the load, "unloaded", and claimed it was fixed. I said it wasnt the 2nd and 3rd time, and that they hadn't tested it with a load. I have now scheduled my next service call and will be writing the better business bureau. Maybe they should use "duct tape" if they can't get the plug to stay. I wonder why the plug stayed for the previous 4 years? go figure. Make sure they use duct tape when the "fix" it.
