Have the very same "This disc cannot be played problem". My player has never played a disc successfully and now will not accept discs OF ANY KIND!. Have been patiently waiting for an update but, after installing Firmware 2,21 Released 2012.06.12, I GIVE UP.

Sorry this isn't the solution but, I'm having the same problem....I talked to two different Samsung reps using their online chat. They both told me they never heard of this happening....But I personally found over 30 different people online with the same issues.. My BD-P4600 wont play Blu-Rays after the 2.13 firmware update. It only plays DVD's ...Samsung customer service sucks!!!!
go to the samsung website search for support and downloads put your model number in and down load update it will give you instructions on how to do this
Try the following region hack procedures.
1. Turn on the player with no disk inside. 2. Wait for the no disc message. 3. Press REPEAT 57538. 4. The number 2 will display in the top left corner 5. Press 9 to select multiregion. 6. The Samsung BD-P4600 is now region free.
send an email to bose support. i sent 1 email with 3 products (tv, bd-player, dishnetwork receiver) that I couldn't find in the setup screen. I got 1 email back and all are up and running - 48 hour turn around on email. had to use IR emitter on bd-player to get v30 to see it. I have samsung bd-p4600.
