I had similar problem .... on very humid days unit leaks ..... temp solution for me was to drain the unit .... inserted wire coat hanger into tube .... lots of watery gook came out.. - even tilted/tipped the unit inorder to get as much water out of it.......afterwards unit worked fine.

We are VERY SASTIFIED with the Delonghi Pinguino - bought it years ago when it first came out and it has provided years of troublefree service .... the water build up / leaking was only recently - in fact we never drained the thing until this year.

That probably is Ft, meaning full tank. Look on the bottom of the back side, and there should be a small "hatch" that will open. The two small hoses in there are drain hoses that can be unplugged to drain the tank. They're right at the bottom, so if you have a way to raise the unit up a little that would let you drain the water into a container. Might be a good time to clean the filter too.

Delonghi pacn125 hp

The full tank switch is corroded or faulty, its a switch that gets pressed by a polystyrene float when the tank fills up, in my case the tank was bone dry and some times it turned on and most times i got 11 beeps an no error code, i simply removed the 7 screws from the back and blew out the switch (located on the bottom left of the unit) with an air compressor, it has not failed again.

Sorry I do not speak English well. C120 pac my team. PF mark on the screen and turn on all lights. not working I have to do Thanks for your time

This unit stopped working and displayed the PF code for Probe Failure. I fixed it by removing 6 screws for the panal and 4 screws for the back panal and removing the 5 screws and 1 screw holding the ground wire off the silver box with the circuit board in it then I un plugged the little plug for the 2 probes with the black wires in it and replugged it in and wiggled it several times with the unit pluged in (be carefull not to get shocked I recomend someone with electrical experiance do this for you) the plug must get corroded but this fixed my unit.

Good luck.

When ever I turn the air condition on. this symbol (HL) appear on the small screen, and it won't open What does that mean? Thank u

I think what you are seeing is "FL", rather than HL. FL indicates that the water collection bucket is FULL & needs to be drained. Sometimes. the LED letters on the screen can be hard ti read.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How to change or clean the filter and where to download a manual

DeLonghi has the manuals for their portable air conditioners here: http://delonghiusa.com/support/product_manuals/5#table-jump . The direct link to the PAC C120 manual is http://delonghiusa.com/support/sites/default/files/product_manuals/m-PAC+C120.pdf .

Before cleaning, turn off the air conditioner. To clean the filter, pull it straight up from behind the top of the air intake (on the back of the PAC C120). Vacuum off the filter. If it is very dirty, immerse it in warm water and rinse several times. (The water should not above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees F)) several times. Then allow the filter to air dry. Slide the filter back into the air conditioner and turn the unit back on.

I hope this helps.

Brand new delonghi PAC C120e, I got everything installed easily with the unit rite next to the window, I have it turned all the way down and it still does not cool my small room at night. It seems to blow...

Since the unit is new and under warranty and hopefully you have registered it with Delonghi. Your best bet, is to contact their Customer Support Rep 800-322-3848. Doing it this way has you totally covered.

UNIT WILL NOT COOL. FAN AND HUMIDIFIER WORK. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND SEASON USED AND THE UNIT HAS NEVER BEEN SITTING UP AND NEVER LAID DOWN OR TURNED UP SIDE DOWN. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

Hello,
A portable air conditioner may not cool for several reasons. Check the filter by removing the unit's grill and clean the filter.
Also check for clogs in the evaporator or condenser coils by light vacuuming. Make sure the evaporator isn't frosted over, but if it is, allow it to defrost and normal operation should resume.
Lastly, ensure the ambient temperature is lower than your AC's set temperature, as this can prevent cooling. However, if all of these steps fail to resolve your problem, the compressor may be malfunctioning, and in this case, the compressor needs to be replaced or repaired.
In summary, if the air won't cool, remove the grill and clean the filter. Clean out any clogs in the evaporator or condenser coils by vacuuming them and scrubbing them lightly with an old toothbrush. And since fan is working, you compressor might be defective.
I hope the above information is clear.
Regards.

Compressor not turning on - but unit turns on and fan works - even when temp turned all the way down.

all the way down is as warm as the refrigrator can get. Sounds like start components are the problem.

New unit installed when turned on "FT" light displays

Remove the tank if it is removable and see if you can determine how it is sensing the tank level. Maybe it's a float switch that is stuck or maybe it works by the weight of the tank. Either way your problem will be with whatever senses the tank level.
