With the exception of not being to dial out, it sounds like your DND or do not disturb button is on,The feature can be turned back off by either pressing the DND button again or entering feature #85.

It sounds like although they're labeled as line buttons actually they're programmed as station buttons.
If you press feature *0 and one of the buttons it will tell you what the button is programmed as.
Also did you try pressing the intercom button then dialing 9? that might be the way the set was programmed.

I guess you want a page key programmed on your set. press feature *3, press a memory key, press feature 610. This key pages all sets when pressed.

I am wondering how to intercom to another phone extension. I mean, where you call that room and can talk to them w/o them having to pick up the phone extension.
Providing that the handsfree answerback is turned on on the set your calling,you can use Voice call (feature 66) and the intercom of the person your calling.

My Intercom Extention shows busy. I have disconnected my Aneritech M7310 from the wall and reconnected, but I still can not dial out or receive incoming intercom calls. I have tried the #85 feature to try...
if the arrows constantly lit see if the intercom button is stuck down. sometimes junk gets down arround the button and doesn't alow it to release.

Do Feature **CONFIG, go to CONFIGURATION, select the second option, should say Line something, keep scrolling and it will say I/C: #,. press change, you can have a max of 2 Intercom keys, if you need other info, go to youtube.com and search for "thenortelguy"

M7310 phone buttons
Wow, you should get 2 lines and at least one intercom by default. Lines are assigned in most Nortel systems in Terminals & Sets. Your COPY command is your friend. Just pick a phone you wnat to emulate and copy it to your new set.
