Yeah there is usually the the size and price and how realistic the rowing action is, but they all work the same areas and burn lots of caories, its just depends how realistic a row you want, how much money you have to buy one and how big your workout space is to put the thing

How do i repair the hydraulic unit it leaking oil on my 2010 bh rowing machine

Hello Garth,
Posting a question about washing machines alongside a picture of a washing machine isn't helpful when it is a rowing machine you want advice about. I am smiling...

The exercise machines that use a hydraulic unit I have seen use units that are cosmetically superior vehicle shock absorbers or dampers with a cylindrical container for the oil and valve mechanisms and a piston rod.

A long time ago it was possible to overhaul these telescopic dampers but for many years they have been considered a sealed-for-life throw away item, though the unit manufacturer might have the facilities to cut them open, replace the seals and valves and then weld them together again, it is doubtful.

The manufacturer of the hydraulic unit will not be the manufacturer of your rowing machine. A replacement unit will be a great deal cheaper from the former and there is generally a name and a part number somewhere on the hydraulic unit though it is often obscured by paint.

Dampers and suchlike tend to be standard items and replacements can often be found in the catalogues of the various manufacturers by matching the dimensions exactly.

I hope this helps if only a little.

Computer replaced batteries - screen lights up but does not function when rowing - not registering meters

Check the mtion sensing magnetic switch thats under the seat rail. It determines if you are rowing and sends a signal to the computer. Make sure all connections are fully seated. You may have loosened a wire when you swapped the batteries.
