Hi there i cannot get my mp500 to work on vista please help kind regards teresa

stoped printing out my ststements its all garbled up worked for a while now prints out funkey stuff.one line will print the other is a thin line.all scrued up.

Windows Vista This product can be used with Windows Vista.

To use it with Windows Vista, install the software for Windows Vista.
The Windows XP software for your product cannot be used under Windows Vista.
Easy-WebPrint and PhotoRecord do not support Windows Vista.

Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista :
Beforeupgrading your OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, delete / uninstallall the Windows XP software first; then, upgrade the OS to WindowsVista and install Vista software.
If you have already upgraded your computer's OS to Windows Vista :
Delete / uninstall Windows XP software before installing Windows Vista software.

Vista driver ip5000

HI,

To get teh Vista drivers for your printer, please click on the belw mentioned link:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=357&modelid=10439

Select teh tab "Download and drivers" and select your OS as Vista.

You shouls see the file that you wil be required to download.

Instructions how do you repair a loose connection

Hi,

Buy a new jackplug, cut the old one and also 2-3cm of the wire. Then try to resolder those thin wires.
There are two shielded cables, solder the shields together on the ground of the jackplu. Then solder the other two to the ring and tip. Could be very difficult because those wires are very thin, but I'll think you've got no other options.

Scanner stopped working with new computer

Windows Vista. You now have to have the drivers for the VISTA OS . Here is your models support page to download the drivers form CANON..

Double check your model number, I think the numbers you are quoting refer to a range of printers.

Check out Lexmarks website to find the correct driver.

Canon Pixma MP500

This is the start of the fun with vista. I gives the error message "known compatibility issues" with any none MS software. It does give you the option to install anyway. Do this before plugging in the printer or vista will install it's own driver and it wont work.
the software will tell you when it is safe to plug in the printer.
